The Return of Winky

Remember back a couple years ago when I bought an owl bag? (Or was that 3 years ago? I don’t remember anymore!!!) Poor Winky has been stashed in my closet for ages, but I pulled him out today!

  1. Dress: Kate Spade Olsen
  2. Belt: Kate Spade Owl Belt
  3. Shoes: Kate Spade
  4. Handbag: Winky! (Wise Owl Quinn)

Today was actually my Friday, my husband has tomorrow off and the kids have a play, so I took it off to be home and enjoy some time with them. They have break next week as well, but 3 of them are going to be gone for various events. Looking forward to the Easter weekend.

Until next time,

Black + White + Two Outfits

Yes, today was a TWO outfit day. I had a meeting earlier in the day that I felt required more “dress”.

Cardigan: Kate Spade
Dress: Kate Spade Emma in Black
Belt: Alannah Hill
Shoes: Kate Spade
Necklace: Kate Spade (outlet exclusive from late last year)
Handbag: Wise Owl Quinn

But then I came home and changed to cook dinner & haul kids around(I know! But it was also super warm and this is a lighter dress):

Cardigan: Kate Spade (same worn earlier in the day)
Dress: Banana Republic
Belt: Kate Spade
Shoes: Christian Louboutin

Don’t forget to enter my Valentine’s Day Giveaway!!

Until next time,

Owl Sightings

I perhaps overdid the “matchy matchy” today, but I do love this particular ensemble:

Dress: Kate Spade
Shoes: Kate Spade
Slip: Vintage
Handbag: Kate Spade

And like that, Fall Break is almost over! I’m taking the weekend to spend time with kids & husband. Not sure what we will get into, but the cooler weather should make it nice.

Have a good weekend yall! (Yup, starting a day early. Woot!!)

Until next time,

Wednesday Musings

Well, when one has crazy schedules, one tends to forget one has a blog. OOPS! Anyway, it was a busy Labor Day weekend, to say the least!

Saturday I didn’t really snap any outfit photos, as we were moving my grandmother. However, I did get to make a little stop at the Desert Hills outlet, and picked up this adorable little item:

Isn’t it the cutest?! They have a Bon Shopper bag in a pretzel print too! I love that it also fits my cell phone. With some of my neck problems, it’s nice to have days where I can have just a tiny purse.

Sunday was a trek to the apple store to have my phone glass replaced (it was lifting, luckily they covered it under the warranty!). I wore this:

Blouse: Nanette Lepore (way old)
Skirt: Kate Spade
Shoes: Jimmy Choo strassed in Jonquil

Monday was a day of house project-related errands and not a very cute ensemble. So I didn’t take a photo. Trust me, you didn’t miss much. Tuesday however, now Tuesday was a fun day!

My outfit:

Dress: Kate Spade Lyric
Shoes: Christian Louboutin flats Strassed in Green Tourmaline
Handbag: Kate Spade Via Limoni Lina

I went to a fun little event at Disneyland last night, where they shut the park down. I love Disneyland, and it was so fun to see people dressed up! A fun swing band:

The always surprising end of the Monsters Inc ride (you never know what Roz is going to say!)

The very empty esplanade as I was leaving:

And I managed to haul myself together this morning into something halfway presentable:

Dress: Kate Spade
Shoes: Jimmy Choo
Handbag: Kate Spade Wise Owl Quinn

A closer look at my newest pair of Strassed shoes:

I painted them nearly 6 months ago and never started the project. But last week I finally decided to start and finishes them by Monday. I love them! It’s a very subtle sparkle, just enough, without being TOO sparkly. Not that there is a thing as “TOO Sparkly”, but sometimes understated is a good thing.

Anyway, I imagine my blogging will be sporadic over the next month, I’m going to be in and out of town and running 15 places at once. But I do post on Instagram quite often! Happy September!

Until next time,

Poofy Dresses!

Happy Monday! Yesterday and today have been “poofy dress day”!

Yesterday I pulled out my Roset dress, pairing it with these cute low-heeled Kate Spade heels I snagged off eBay:

Dress: Kate Spade Roset
Necklace: Burlington Coat Factory
Shoes: Kate Spade
Handbag: Kate Spade

And today, not as poofy, but lots of dress!

Dress/: Lela Rose for Target
Belt: Thrifted
Shoes: Coach, off eBay

And that is all she wrote today folks. It’s overcast and rain clouds are looming this evening, and well, I am just exhausted. My arthritis has been reminding me of it’s existence lately, which totally blows, but also means it’s time to slow down just a wee bit!

Have a wonderful week!

Until next time,

Woah, how is it Wednesday already?! Wait a second, what happened to Tuesday?!

Time is flying! My outfit this morning:

Blouse: Thrifted, no-name. $1
Skirt: Thrifted, no-name. $3
Shoes: Christian Louboutin

Isn’t that skirt the cutest?! It must be an Anthropologie item, it’s well made, has a lining and a very nice zipper. No tag though. And sadly, no pockets! But for $3? Winner!

Yesterday I wore this:

Dress: Kate Spade Hope Dress (found this at the outlet, it’s from the Brighton Collection this last January)
Belt: Kate Spade, off eBay
Shoes: Jimmy Choo Strassed flats (Strassed by me)
Handbag: Kate Spade Wise Owl Quinn

Kids are back in school and I’m trying to adjust to the new schedule. Let me tell you, the most stressful thing EVER is the school pickup line. I don’t know why. You just feel this CRAZY energy radiating from the other cars! It’s bizarre. Anyway. I drop off early and pick up late, and avoid most of it.

Hope your week is grand! Today is a baking day, woo-hoo! I haven’t made macarons in ages, I’m super excited actually!

Until next time,

Weekend Recap!

I realize it’s Tuesday, and not Monday. Buuuttttt, yesterday was a day to reconnect with some old neighbors from when we lived in Texas, and it was a lot of driving. I forget how it is in Texas, it’s unheard of to drive 2 hours each way for dinner! (Normal here! For where we live anyway)

I didn’t snap an outfit photo on Saturday, but I wore my black & white Adette dress. My daughter and I found some lovely spots!

Sugarfina (where has this been all my life?!)

The American Girl Store (where Caroline Abbot joined our family):

Sunday a friend was driving through town and wanted to go get apple pie. Well, what’s a girl to do?! WHIP ONE UP! DUH!

Give me 3 hours notice and I’ll whip up an almost-from-scratch pie. I did cheat and add fresh slices apples to a single can of pre-made filling (so there would be a combination of crisp & soft apples). My first apple pie actually, and it was DEVOURED! Mmmmm.

Sunday’s ensemble:

Dress: Kate Spade
Belt: It’s a Wrap
Shoes: Kate Spade
Bag: Wise Owl Quinn (Kate Spade)

Yesterday I wore this to work:

Dress: Kate Spade Corley
Belt: Thrifted
Shoes: Coach (off eBay, about $7)

I did switch out my shoes to my Montana Strassed Louboutins for dinner last night & changed to my navy striped Kate Spade belt. I did not snap a photo. Shoot, we didn’t even snap any photos with our friends! OOPS!

And finally, today:

Dress & Belt: Kate Spade
Shoes: Jimmy Choo
Necklace: Kate Spade

Tomorrow I’m catching a ride with my husband as he has to travel up north for work. Trying to decide if I am going to spend Thursday exploring Walnut Creek area, OR if I am going to hop on the BART and spend the day in San Francisco, explore Union Square, etc. You know, the things not possible when sight seeing with 6 humans under 25!! (When we were in the city last summer)

Have a wonderful day!

Until next time,
