Today was, well, “meh”. I accomplished much, but am prepping for a kid field trip tomorrow and am just tired. Still healing from that accident, even though my mind forgets!!

I wore this, an older Kate Spade dress I found (love the fabric!!)

  1. Dress: Kate Spade (style name and origin unknown)
  2. Belt: Target
  3. Shoes: Kate Spade

I know! I am TOTALLY obsessed with these shoes! Something about the comfort of the stacked heel and those sparkly bows, I adore them!

Until next time,

Oh boy, the first week of school is OVER! I survived! (Barely) I’m just exhausted, but I did make a huge meal tonight along with homemade ice cream.

Yesterday I wore this:

  1. Dress: Lela Rose for Target
  2. Belt: secondhand
  3. Shoes: Christian Louboutin

And today….although I spent most of the day asleep! (I guess I was tired, a 4 hour nap and I’m already ready for bed!)

  1. Dress: Kate Spade
  2. Shoes: Adrianna Papell

I love the dress I wore today, it’s perfect for summer, and best of all, it doesn’t hurt. My body is still healing from that accident, and this week has been rough! I found out this morning I had popped my ribs back out somehow (not sure?! I haven’t even been cleaning house…have been leaving it all up to the kids!), which would explain why my clothes have been making me hurt. Sigh. The flats I picked up at Nordstrom rack last week during clear the rack, under $30! (I might have bought my daughter a matching pair!) They had champagne ones too, but I was good and just bought the black.

Have you seen the new Kate Spade arrivals? They were up last night but the email came today. I’m really tempted by the milk carton. I wasn’t excited about the clothes really. But I did get some fun things….the full retail stores are running extra 20% off sale items through Sunday!

And these came from an outlet purchase I made last week (next time I will totally pay the $10 for 2-day shipping! It was agony waiting 9 days for ground shipping!!!)

My kids named the frog “battle frog”, and swear he’s going to shoot poison venom at them in their sleep!!! Ladybug is looking forward to meeting Eugene, he’s already planning the proposal I think.
Have a wonderful weekend! I have French Macarons on my agenda this weekend, along with the piled of laundry from kids back to school AND running cross country after school every day! (All of them. Oh my!)

Until next time,

Spots, Spots, Spots I Say!

Hello spots! I pulled out this skirt today that I haven’t worn in ages, a thrift shop find 2 or 3 years ago! No label, someone made it (and it’s so beautifully finished too)

  1. Top: Target, old (2+ years ago! I had it in white too, but I long since ruined it)
  2. Skirt: thrifted, handmade
  3. Shoes: Kate Spade (although I switched to flats later in the day. I just can’t do a whole day in heels yet!)
  4. Necklace: Kate Spade (recent from the outlet)
  5. Handbag: Kate Spade (old, 2-3 years ago? It’s kind of slouchy but has held up well!)

And I spent my day working on costumes and headbands for an upcoming church event. I’ve been putting this off for over a month! Now we are two weeks away from tech rehearsals, I need to get a move on!!!

I’m super excited for this year….our theme is “Puttin’ on the Ritz”, and quite honestly I pulled 90% of the costumes from either my closet or my costume stash, which it’s fun to see things re-purposed. I just love these feathered headbands!

Until next time,

I saw this skirt on a gal on Instagram and simply had to hunt it down (thank you eBay!):

  1. Blouse: Kohls
  2. Skirt: eBay
  3. Necklace: Swarovski
  4. Belt: Kate Spade
  5. Shoes: Christian Louboutin

Yesterday I started in this, but had to change because my chest/neck is still sooooo sore from the accident:

  1.  Dress: Kate Spade
  2. Belt: Target
  3. Flats: Christian Louboutin

And what I really wore most of yesterday:

  1.  Dress: Kate Spade
  2. Necklace: Target
  3. Shoes: Kate Spade

I also finished these Sunday:

I love the mixed media! Glitter on the back, crystals in the front! Strassing suede is SUCH a dream!

Until next time,

Today The Muppet went out! But first, what I wore to stay home and bake (because my daughter requested strawberry cupcakes for school tomorrow for a party….and I said yes):

  1. Cardigan: Kate Spade
  2. Top: Kohls
  3. Belt: Target
  4. Skirt: Vintage (bought at 55 Thousand Dresses, I think two years ago?)
  5. Shoes: Christian Louboutin
  6. Handbag: Kate Spade

And I had an event tonight, and in true “me” fashion decided to break out some sparkles:

  1.  Blouse: Alannah Hill
  2. Skirt: Alannah Hill
  3. Necklaces: Kate Spade (Pearl & crystal one), vintage (long strand of pearls)
  4. Handbag: The Muppet (Kate Spade)
  5. Shoes: Christian Louboutin
  6. Bracelets: Banana Republic & Vintage

Not pictured, but I also threw my dark mink coat over the whole ensemble and had on HUGE earrings. So fun!!!!! Shhhhh, don’t tell anyone I wore heels…I admit to being seated most of the night and I walked around the house barefoot until I got in the car. Walking was minimal. But I AM feeling it. OOPS!

Strawberry cupcakes:

Yummy!!! I ended up with about 2 extra dozen, so my husband is going to have some VERY happy co-workers tomorrow!

Until next time,

One Skirt, Two Looks

It’s been super windy here, and so I’ve been relying on my stash of pencil skirts the past few days. Today I ended up changing, but kept the same skirt, just styling it different each time!

First outfit today:

  1. Sweater: Banana Repubic (but I found it secondhand at It’s a Wrap)
  2. Skirt: Vintage, thrifted
  3. Shoes: Christian Louboutin
  4. Necklace & Bracelet: Target

I have about half a dozen vintage pencil skirts in black, grey and navy blue. I’ve slowly accumulated them over time…I really like to look for the “Academy Award” brand skirts, they are made soooo well and the fabric is perfect. A medium weight, perfect for Southern California weather. I often find them at various thrift and secondhand shops around West LA.

And to go out tonight:

  1. Cardigan: Ross (old, it’s held up beautifully though!!)
  2. Blouse: Banana Republic Outlet
  3. Skirt: Vintage, secondhand (I don’t even remember where)
  4. Belt: unknown. (It’s a Wrap find)
  5. Shoes: Christian Louboutin Simples
  6. Handbag: Kate Spade

Nearly everything in my second look was secondhand/Ebay/thrifted, with the exception of the blouse, which I picked up during one of Banana Republic’s crazy clearance sales at the outlet!

I know I wear a lot of Kate Spade, and TONS of dresses, but sometimes it’s good to mix it up again. I have so many clothes (the reality is I am a clothing collector. I don’t collect knick knacks, china, art, or anything like that. I like my art hanging in my closet, what can I say?), and some days it’s just so easy to throw on a great dress, some shoes, grab a cardigan and run out the door. That is EASY! It’s putting actual combinations together that takes time!!

Until next time,

Endless Summer

Seriously, it’s about 80 degrees out this evening! Crazy crazy weather!!!

Yesterday I wore this:

Cardigan: Target
Dress: Kate Spade Elza Dress
Shoes: Jimmy Choo
Handbag: Kate Spade
Necklace: Kohls

Today I wore this:

Cardigan: Ralph Lauren
Dress: Kate Spade (recent eBay steal!)
Shoes: Christian Louboutin
Handbag: Kate Spade
Necklace: Target

I also made these for a baby shower this afternoon:

Aren’t they the cutest?! She had originally ordered a cake, but I’m so happy that the order was changed, these are SO MUCH CUTER!!! All the little pieces are made from sugar. I was sad to leave them behind!!

Hope your weekend is going well! I still can’t believe this insanely beautiful weather we are having!!!! Endless Summer!

Until next time,
