Merry Christmas

As the evening ends, just a quick note to wish everyone a Merry Christmas! I’ve been trying to keep up some outfit posts on Instagram, however due to some personal health challenges, I have spent many a day in my PJ’s lately! However I did throw together a beautifully dressed Christmas spread….even if I just had PJ’s on all day!

Christmas dinner & desserts:

Christmas breakfast (complete with chaos in the background!)

Christmas Eve we did “small bites”, as my kids had been with my parents at other gatherings I was unable to attend:

All in all, a good feed was had by all! Oh and in Troll News, Rocky bought Roxy a Christmas gift:

I know, I’m so ridiculous! And some recent outfits:

Pants! It’s been unseasonably chilly out here in SoCal (our local mountains are covered in beautiful snow!), and some days, pants are the only option! Especially those windy rainy days!

Here’s to the end of 2016, and the beginning of 2017, which I hope continues on a good upswing! Just maybe give me a few more hours in my day, please!

Until next time,

Jules

Woah

I haven’t forgotten my blog, it’s just that we are in the middle of some huge life changes, and I have not made blogging a priority over the last month. I do try to keep up on Instagram, some days are better than others!

Some recent outfits:
Went to a film premiere last night in Hollywood, Boo! A Madea Halloween. Which, is HILARIOUS. My husband picked out this dress, it’s a Kay Unger and it has POCKETS:

Best part? It officially opens on my birthday! It’s actually a movie I would let the kids watch, it has a good message.

We have a new friend, Roxy, who is enjoying her happily ever after with Rocky:

I’ve added many dresses over the last month (oops), but I’m not excited about the recent Kate Spade released, which does make my bank account happy. I really need to finish the closet clean out I started, it’s a little out of control in there!

Biggest news is my husband has taken a job in Los Angeles, which means we will be moving there within the next couple of years. I’m still kind of in shock it all went down, it was fast and completely unexpected! He has settled in nicely, and the upheaval we’ve been going through the last few weeks seems to be calming down finally this week. Not sure how I feel yet about being LA bound, but it should be an interesting adventure!

Until next time,

Jules

A BIG Recap

The last few weeks have been utter chaos in my household! Some big changes for our family, and as such I just have put blogging on the back burner (but sadly for my bank account, not shopping. Lol!)

This one was ALL Kate Spade (I have a problem y’all!)

Went to downtown LA last week and finally visited “The Last Bookstore” (highly recommended, but park elsewhere and take an uber. Parker is a NIGHTMARE right there!) Coolest bookstore EVER. They had the most insane selection, I was in heaven! And I got an incredible recommendation for a new fantasy fiction series to start reading! (I am a total nerd)

So much else has gone on, but I can’t go into detail just yet, but I am super excited for all the changes coming. I just know it’s going to be a crazy time soon, as we start the process. Keep up with me on Instagram, as I tend to post there more!

Until next time,

Jules

Christmas in Review

Wow, Christmas 2015, it’s over already?! I admit to staying in my PJs ALL DAY yesterday, it was glorious!!!! We stay home on Christmas, so there was lots of cooking going on here. My schedule has been so packed, I didn’t even finish wrapped until nearly 2am Christmas morning. OOPS!

We actually scaled way back on gifting this year….instead of the normal 15-20 packages, the kids had about 6 each. We sort of followed the “4 things” idea, but I also do “food boxes” for my boys, they love that!!

Christmas Eve we went to my aunt’s house, and I wore this: (after baking 8 pies & countless cookies that morning!)

  1. Dress: Kate Spade Olsen
  2. Belt: Kate Spade
  3. Shoes: Christian Louboutin, strassed by me

Yes, a new pair of strassed heels! I actually have some projects I am supposed to be working on, but I got the inspiration for these and I couldn’t stop once I started! The shoes were a grey metallic leather to begin with, and I used silver shade, alexandrite, black diamond, Crystal lagoon, and Crystal viridian (all preciosa, except the silver shade). The way these catch the light is INSANE!

Hopefully the video above loads okay! First time I have uploaded one since I upgraded my blog!

Some other highlights from the past week:

 Monday….normal working mom day!

  1. Cardigan: Banana Republic
  2. Dress: Kate Spade
  3. Belt: Secondhand
  4. Shoes: Sam Edleman

Wednesday to attend church (as I didn’t get dressed on Tuesday!)

  1.  Cardigan: Banana Republic (I have 2 or 3 of these!)
  2. Skirt: Kate Spade
  3. Shoes: Kate Spade
  4. Pearls: Thrifted

And finally today, I took my daughter shopping (wasn’t horrible!)

  1. Cardigan: Banana Republic (hey, it’s cold and it’s long sleeves!!)
  2. Dress: Kate Spade
  3. Belt: Kate Spade
  4. Shoes: Kate Spade (they are super comfortable!)

The cats went out to shop too:

Hope your Christmas was Merry & bright! I’m looking forward to 2016, it’s shaping up to be a very busy and rewarding year!

Happy Holidays!

Jules

And some of the holiday outlet pieces:

Glitter glitter everywhere!!!!!

I also got a VERY special birthday present from a dear friend who lives overseas….seriously it made my whole WEEK!!! I’ve wanted one of these for AGES!!

Eeks! I know some people are wary of the internet. Of strangers. But seriously, I have met some of the most amazing friends through my blog and Instagram over the last few years! Not to mention the Disney friends I have because of the Internet! I hope everyone is well, and my travel has ended for a bit now, so I’ll be more steady with posting. I do have a pretty fun-filled fall schedule though!!!

Until next time,

Jules

TGIF!

Yay Friday! My outfit today:

  1. Cardigan: Kate Spade (old!)
  2. Skirt: vintage, Thrifted
  3. Shoes: Christian Louboutin

Isn’t this cardigan gorgeous? The detailing is just stunning! I was excited to find this piece recently!

I did decide on a costume for the fall festival tonight, I pulled out pieces and threw together a flapper ensemble. However I was hit with an insane migraine just before leaving and didn’t get any photos. I cannot tell you how thankful I was tonight that my oldest drives! He got back from a huge cross country event about an hour into the event and I was able to come home and crash. Luckily my migraine “broke”, and I feel human again, even if it is nearly midnight. Whoops! Nothing worse than a sudden migraine like that, although if I had been paying attention I would have known it was looming! I get strange auras before, but I don’t always catch them. Sigh.

I hope you have a wonderful weekend! I am off on another adventure Sunday night, so my posting may be sporadic over the next week as I travel in & out of town again.

Until next time,

Jules

Thursday

Today was ROUGH. It’s been really humid where we live and my arthritis has been, well rather rude about it. So those 5:30am alarms are rude too! But I dragged myself out this morning to a school board meeting at 7am (I highly recommend all parents attend at least one, it gives you a different perspective on what’s going on), and had to look halfway presentable:

  1. Cardigan: Kate Spade
  2. Dress: Kate Spade Liana Dress
  3. Shoes: Christian Louboutin Simples
  4. Necklace: Kate Spade

Of course I did change before going to work this afternoon, as the Liana dress is gorgeous, but my ribs are bugging me again, so I needed something a little looser to run around in all afternoon! So I pulled out this number:

  1. Dress: Kate Spade
  2. Belt: Thrifted
  3. Shoes: Jimmy Choo (I’ve had these since before I started blogging! 4+ years)

I don’t love this dress all that much, but I get so many comments on it when I wear it. It’s got so many options for shoes and belts too, with the hot air balloon colors! My main dislike of it is the fact that it’s incredibly difficult to get on and off. The fabric is also rather heavy and we’ve had such warm weather all year! It was in the mid 70’s today, so I was able to wear it and not be too hot OR need a cardigan! Best part? It has pockets! I am glad I picked it up, I just wish it was easier to put on and take off.

Are you gearing up for Halloween? We have our school fall festival tomorrow night and I am so at a loss for a costume this year!! Any ideas? I am open to suggestions for tomorrow night!

Until next time,

Jules
