St Patrick’s Day

Wait a second, St Patrick’s Day isn’t until Monday!! That’s right, but you see I had it in my little blonde head that it was today. Which in reality is kind of a good thing, as it means for once I was ACTUALLY PREPARED ahead of time!! Thursday is my bible study day, so I suppose that’s where it came from.

Since, you know, I like to bring sparkly fun things to my little group of ladies on Thursdays. Hey, they need some sparkle action!

Our table & goodies (all assembled by yours truly):

Aren’t the little bags of lucky charms the cutest?! I snagged those from Pinterest (which I don’t use all that often, because it is addicting!). I intend to tuck one in everyone’s lunch boxes on Monday!

And I went festive in my dress today, which btw, the last time I wore this dress was February 9th! How do I know this? I found a receipt in the pocket!!!

Cardigan: Kate Spade
Dress: Kate Spade
Belt: Kate Spade
Necklace: Kate Spade
Shoes: Montana Strass Christian Louboutin

Hmmm, it seems I have a Kate Spade problem!! Even worse? I have two charge sends in transit with ups from a location I ordered things from. I’m super duper excited about it! Reality is, they are early Birthday/Christmas presents, but this way I can enjoy them all year! My husband spoils me. (Heck, I spoil me!!)

After that though, it’s time to put myself on a small shopping ban. Not too long, as we have trips coming up that put us in MAJOR outlet shopping territory, but perhaps turn off eBay, except for selling. My only saving grace is that I have been selling a lot of items lately in various places, so it covers anything I’ve bought off eBay. But still.

I still have my blog sale up, I need to update as items have sold. Please feel free to make offers, I will combine items and discount them, as all pricing does include domestic shipping.

Until next time,

Wednesday Slump

Oh boy, I’m not sure what’s happened today, but I am BOMBED! Just exhausted! I think it’s because my health (arthritis flare, yuck!!) is giving me some fits with our up & down weather patterns, but either way, it can stop now please!!!!

It also makes for the inability to wear fun jewelery! My wrists & neck are bugging me, and the weight of jewels, well, yeah. BUMMER!!! I have decided against putting jewels on for photos, as I want y’all to see what I wear in real life, not something I photographed for my blog. Because, really, that is why I started blogging, to force myself to wear more of my clothes AND to share “hey I’m a mom over 30 with 4 kids, and I try to dress ‘up’ per today’s standards because I can. And when I look good, I feel better”. So, I hope I inspire someone out there! Side note, please feel free to email me anytime if you need style advice or are looking for something I’ve worn/bought/photographed. I’m always happy to help, and unless your email gets stuck in the spam folder, I respond fairly quickly! I try to check spam every few days too.

Anyway, what I wore yesterday:

Sweater: Kate Spade (eBay)
Skirt: Vintage (It’s a Wrap in LA, which I get to go there on Sunday!! Exciting!!)
Shoes: Christian Louboutin

And today, I was “Hawaiian Barbie” (a dear friend of mine always nicknames my outfits and adds “Barbie” to it, as she calls me her “little barbie doll”. LOL. It’s cute. I get the honor of putting her wedding together next year, so she’s going to be MY “Wedding Barbie”!)

Cardigan: Kate Spade (eBay)
Skirt: no-name (Thrifted)
Shoes: Christian Louboutin

As I’m sure anyone who reads me regularly has noticed, I’ve been wearing these flats A TON lately. Why you ask? My feet have been bugging me something fierce. I still wear heels, but my feet have been swollen from an arthritis flare, and I try to keep it in check during these times. I also just haven’t felt terribly sparkly, so I’ve kept it simple. Hoping it will pass soon, it tends to run in cycles. Living with chronic illness can be super wretched at times!!

I’ve also been prepping for next week:

And I made my daughter some necklaces:

I’m sure she will be ecstatic!!

Have a lovely afternoon!

Until next time,
