So, I threw on this sweater, and had intended to wear a crazy striped skirt, just for lots of color.

But I felt like, well, I don’t really have words for it. It was just bad. Super super bad. So I pulled out the brown pleated Kenneth Cole skirt I’ve worn recently and just made it work. I do think it’s time to rotate the closet again!

Cardigan: Kate Spade
Skirt: Kenneth Cole
Shoes: Christian Louboutin

Detail on my sweater:

I didn’t carry a bag with me, just my keys and wallet today.

But I did finish these, striped strassed Manolo Blahnik flats.

After I painted them:

And all done:

I used a custom blend of lumiere paints, and the following Preciosa crystal colors:
In corresponding order of stripe, and then it repeats
Violet & Violet AB
Light Sapphire & Light Sapphire AB
Green Tourmaline
Jonquil & Jonquil AB
Green Tourmaline AB

I use Gem-Tac for my glue, but I’m sure there is something better out there. Since I do these for my sole enjoyment, I’m not really worried about crystal loss, as I can attend to that if needed.

Hope your weekend was grand! The kids are off for the holiday tomorrow, and the weather looks very promising. I am ready for the 30 degree and under weather to go bye bye. I’m not a fan of being all bundled up!

Until next time,

Stockings and Pearls

Well, the weather is warming up nicely, considering how cold it has been! It was only 28 out this morning instead of 18! It’s been nice to not be bundled up as much.

Cardigan: Target, under $5
Blouse: Banana Republic
Skirt: Kenneth Cole (5+ years old)
Stockings: Hanes Sheer (I buy them at Kohls, only local place that carries the pale color I need!)
Shoes: Christian Louboutin
Necklace: Banana Republic
Handbag: (not pictured) Black Kate Spade I’ve been carrying lately (out of sheer laziness for switching bags)

My necklace(this was a Christmas present, I daresay I was impressed!)

Have you ever had “Hello Panda”? My kids (specifically my youngest) love them. My youngest has a love for pandas (might be that I’ve taken him to Panda Express to eat a lot? Or the panda bear from there I bought him?), and gets excited about these. Then I found out last week my sister loves them too! We drove around LA looking for them last Wednesday. Among the other fun adventures we had! So, of course I had to send her this photo (we were unable to find strawberry pandas, only strawberry koalas)

Don’t you love the $1 section at Target? And yes, I bought all 5 boxes they had. Just because I’m a mean big sister like that. *grins*

Anyway, off to pick kids up from school and then back to the kitchen. I had a rather odd macawrong today, it’s edible, but it looks weird. So I have one more batch to churn out for tomorrow morning.

I’m excited for our winter bible study, we are doing Kelly Minter’s Nehemiah. It’s about how it can take a broken heart to fix broken things. So I’m passing out band-aids to my fellow ladies. I know, I’m extremely strange. Perhaps it’s a good things my Macarons came out strange and broken, rather fitting I suppose!

Until next time,

What I’m Wearing

I have deliveries today! So fun.

The Rundown:
Blouse: Banana Republic (on sale, $9.98)
Skirt: Kenneth Cole
Slip showing: Vintage
Belt: Thrifted
Shoes: Jimmy Choo
Handbag: Kate Spade

And after my cakes get delivered, we are headed to the beach! My husband has to work today (not normal!!!!), and so I figured I’d do something fun with the kids.

My batman cake

I also did 4 dozen cupcakes for a birthday, and a graduation cake that I have to finish assembling.

Yay! And I am done until August now. I love what I do, but time off is also important.

Until next time,

What I’m Wearing

Ugh, my toes! Wearing heels those few hours Saturday, I’m still paying for it!! (I ended up changing for church that evening)

What I wore Saturday night

All things worn previously (I think)

So on to today!

The Rundown:
Cardigan: Target
Blouse: Kohls
Skirt: Kenneth Cole (purchased 5+ years ago)
Slip: Vintage “flounce” slip.
Brooch on skirt: vintage from eBay
Shoes: Miu Miu
Handbag: Coach, dark brown leather

I got the idea for the brooch from a display in Dillards, oh 8 or 9 years ago? And the slip peeking out from Legally Blonde (I adore that movie!! She is so right! About men and shoes. I have taught my husban about good shoes. Of course now he scoffs at me when I search for shoes at target, usually in vain!)

Here’s my bag

Detail on the brooch

And my sparkly Miu Mius! I really adore these shoes (excuse my swollen feet!! It’s a tad humid here this morning, I tend to have swollen joints on these days)

I think I have decided which pair of shoes I am going to strass. Now to pick a crystal color!!

And later, I will make an attempt to post my giveaway winners! Yes, there will be 3!!

Until next time,
