Holiday Weekend

Woot! Hello 3-day weekend! I’ve had kind of an interesting week, some major changes happening in my world and when I have things going on I tend to lose myself either in a pair of shoes or baking in the kitchen. This week it was baking! TONS of French Macarons!

Just a few of the many MANY dozens I made. There is something fulfilling about seeing them all lined up!

Yesterday I wore this:

  1. Blouse: Forever 21 (old)
  2. Skirt & Belt: Kate Spade
  3. Shoes: Kate Spade

And today:

  1. Dress: Kate Spade Wrap Dress (circa 2010-2011 I believe? It’s an older one!)
  2. Shoes: Kate Spade (also older, they are a kitten heel)

Did you see that sale is an additional 25% off this weekend online? I have some gift cards, so I may pick up one or two smaller items, but I am limiting myself for the month of September, as I went a LITTLE overboard for the month of August. I have one more big order coming from Kate Spade next week as well. OOPS.

I really need to cull my closet a bit more. I started a “closet” on Instagram ( Right here ) to unload pieces that I no longer wear, use, or items I purchased for someone at the outlets, and then was never paid for them and often times forget to return them. I know holidays are coming and I do have a few NWT items. I still need to bite the bullet and get rid of dresses I know I will NEVER EVER wear, but keep for sentimental reasons. Sigh. I’m totally a fashion hoarder!

Until next time,

Pineapples and PANTS?!

Ah yes, I started my day in pants. Merely because I was cold this morning and knew I was spending the morning catching up wih email and other various computer related “work” (and I still have a huge pile!). So I started the day in this:

  1. Cardigan: Ann Taylor
  2. Top: JCrew
  3. Pants: Banana Republic
  4. Shoes: Christian Louboutin

But I did throw this on to go out with my husband, not that he cares, but it WAS our weekly Costco “date”, so I figured making an attempt at “date attire” was required:

  1. Dress: Kate Spade
  2. Shoes: Christian Louboutin

Don’t forget to enter my giveaway!

Until next time,

Island Dreaming

It’s Wednesday, the first “normal” one this year (kids back to school, work picking back up again, husband’s new job)… I went for some whimsy today!

This dress makes me think Hawaii, Pearl Harbor (the movie, yes I had dark lipstick on today!!), and piles of fresh fruit overlooking the beautifully blue ocean:

Cardigan: JCrew Kids
Dress: Kate Spade
Shoes: Christian Louboutin
Locket: old (10+ years to be exact! My daughters first baby photo is inside!)

I have been wearing flats a lot lately as I have had neck issues since the end of 2014 (teenage driver alert!!), and after whatever I pulled Sunday, forget about heels! My husband and I have a formal dinner Friday night, I figure I can suck it up for 2 hours then. (I don’t even know what I’m going to wear yet, eeks!!) So frustrating! I go back to the chiropractor on Monday, so I’m hoping that will help. Until then, I’m thankful I have piles of pretty (and comfortable!) flats in my shoe collection!

Until next time,
