Sunday Florals

So if you subscribe via email, this will be the second one you receive. Nothing like hitting “post” in the middle of uploading photos!

Anyway, this dress! I snagged it while skimming through Nordstrom Rack the other day and could NOT RESIST! It’s a size up from what I normally buy, but this particular designer, sometimes her smallest is a 2, so I didn’t even think, I GRABBED! I’ll probably have my tailor take it in, although it wasn’t that noticeable….sometimes it’s nice to have a dress that isn’t a perfect fit, you can eat in it! I added some sparkly accessories and was quite pleased with the outcome:

  1. Dress: Adrianna Papell
  2. Belt: Kate Spade (same belt as yesterday, just in navy)
  3. Shoes: Christian Louboutin, strassed by me
  4. Handbag: Kate Spade
  5. Necklace & Bracelet: Kate Spade

The fabric on this dress is lovely, it’s lined AND has pocket. I’ve always loved Adrianna Papell, although I’ve felt in the past the dresses had a definite “20’s” feel to them. I’ve bought a few recently though, and they just fit beautifully! For under $50, I simply couldn’t resist! The length is nice as well, and the biggest bonus it due to how the skirt is cut? It’s windproof! Very important after last weeks excitement!

Until next time,

This afternoon I took myself out. To the movie theatre. For the first time in 6 years! (Alone that is….I mean we watch/screen movies all the time…but going to a theatre alone?! Unheard of!!) I have been dying to see Cinderella, but decided to see Age of Adeline instead. It was a beautiful film. The clothing alone made my heart happy!!! I felt under dresses! It was brilliant, just a beautiful film.

I wore this:

  1. Dress: Kate Spade (Monaco collection, 2014)
  2. Belt: Kate Spade
  3. Necklace: Banana Republic
  4. Shoes: Christian Louboutin

However I had started the day in this:

  1. Dress: Kate Spade
  2. Shoes: Lilly Pulitzer for Target

A good day. I even have a proper dinner plan. I may actually be organized by the time the kids go on summer break!!! Oh, and check your Kate Spade outlets….apparel and clearance handbag have gone on 50% markdown!!! (Yay!)

Until next time,

Oh Friday, how do I love thee? Let me count the ways!

1. Tomorrow I can sleep past 5:30am!
2. Tomorrow I don’t have to leave my house by 7am to take kids to school
3. Tomorrow I can catch up on laundry and housework!
4 I get to make LOTS AND LOTS of French Macarons this weekend!

I know, I know. I have issues. But this:

It’s a perfect macaron shell(which only took what, THREE YEARS to perfect?!) with a clementine orange infused white chocolate buttercream. I only made like 6, as a test? BUT IT WAS AMAZING. I am super sad I didn’t keep them all for myself. Alas, I had orders. But I will make extra this weekend for next week!

What I wore today:

Cardigan: Kate Spade
Dress: Kate Spade
Belt: Kate Spade
Shoes: Christian Louboutin

I forgot to check the weather this morning (bad when you live in a potentially windy desert), but luckily this adorable little dress stood up to the 15-20mph gushing wind. Whew! I really need to sew weights into some of my dress hems.

Don’t forget, my giveaway goes through Sunday:

Details here!

Until next time,

Thursday Blues

So apparently in addition to “no shop January” (OMG is it February yet?!) it’s “no make bed January” as well! Okay, well, it’s this getting up at 5am and driving 3 hours round trip to address car repairs. *sigh*

My outfit today:

Cardigan: Boden
Dress: Kate Spade
Belt: Kate Spade
Shoes: Christian Louboutin

I spent the majority of my afternoon tucked in with my pillows on my bed half asleep-half reading a book. The weather was SO amazing here today (low 70’s!!) the kids spent the afternoon outside!!

Highlight of my day? My service advisor replacing the battery in my key fob, no charge. Can I just say, taking the cars to the dealership is the BEST EVER?

It’s the little things y’all!

Until next time,
