Meet Rocky

No, Rocky is not a purse….he is a rock troll I rescued from a dark bin yesterday:

Yes. I became that crazy adult who carried a stuffed animal around Disneyland. With a Fox Purse.

I know. I have ISSUES. But man it was fun! I even went to a “character breakfast” (wait, WHAT?!):

It was fun. I ate too much:

(And I even had more than that. OOPS!)

My dress is Kate Spade, one that I finally tracked down! I love it. My fox purse is also Kate Spade, available at your local outlet and maybe still online? (If the surprise sale is still up?)

Wednesday I wore this:

  1. Dress: Kate Spade
  2. Belt: JCrew
  3. Shoes: Kate Spade (bought them last weekend, they are SO comfortable!)

And today I pulled out my favorite white linen dress….it was easy as I was exhausted this morning!

  1. Dress: Kate Spade (old, one of the first clothing releases)
  2. Belt: JCrew
  3. Shoes: Kate Spade
  4. Handbag: Kate Spade

I LOVE this bag. It’s so pretty and the cross body + regular straps makes it very versatile. It’s like a Quinn & Small Rachelle bag rolled into one! Hits stores next week (I think?), and should be online soon!

Oh and I made more cake today, carrot walnut:

Yes, that is Gilmore Girls on my iPad….how did I NEVER watch that show before?! Thank you Netflix!!

One last photo of Rocky: (okay two)

I know. I will be that batty grandmother one day with crazy purses and stuffed animals everywhere! Have a great weekend!

Until next time,

Let Them Eat Cake….

Chocolate peanut butter cake

Kate Spade Cake:

Sigh. It’s even larger than I anticipated, which is awesome, as you could fit a small bottle of water in this “cake”! I expect it will mainly be a display piece in my house, but I’ll have to take it out at some point! As a baker, I could not resist. Thank you to a special someone for this one!!

My outfit today:

  1. Blouse: JCrew
  2. Skirt: Kate Spade (old, 3-4 years ago?)
  3. Belt: Kate Spade (Nordstrom, 2+ years ago)
  4. Shoes: Christian Louboutin
  5. Handbag: Kate Spade

Oh and to make matters worse, I went to the outlet this morning and HAD to bring this critter home:

Mr Fox needs a proper name. Isn’t he adorable?! Makes me regret not snagging the owl cross body last summer that was the same size. This is also online at the surprise sale (and it’s the same price in stores as online), as is the other newly released fox items for outlet!!

Until next time,

Oh Tuesday….I have spent the last 3 Tuesday’s at the car dealership, but hopefully today was the last for a bit! We had to unload an older car (hey, it had 290,000 miles on it!!), and I bought a new to me car, but it had a minor issue that took a bit of time to diagnose and fix. But it has allowed some fun adventures! Last Tuesday we ended up down in Orange County, and today I popped over to Glendale. I think all my running is catching up, as I seem to be catching a bit of a summer cold (ugh!), which is ironic considering its 100+ degrees out!

But I still pulled myself together (somewhat, my hair is in a ponytail.)

  1. Blouse: JCrew
  2. Belt: Target
  3. Skirt: Anthropologie
  4. Shoes: Sam Edelman

I bought this lovely eyeshadow palette last week, where has this been all my life? Eyeshadow that looks AND smells like chocolate?! YES PLEASE!

Too Faced sponsored a pop up at the grove last Friday:

I cannot believe my daughter is 12! I don’t feel old enough for this y’all!!!! She’s totally starting to steal some of my dresses (the one she has on is French Connection). I’m in for it for sure!

Until next time,

And he assisted in a cake delivery:

Oh my goodness, did you get caught up in the Lilly Pulitzer for Target frenzy?! I didn’t mean too…I just happened to see it, and then it snowballed into buying tons of stuff for ladies all over the country who couldn’t get what they wanted because of the crazy eBay re-sellers!!! Total insanity!!! It’s a cute line, and I did manage to trade some pieces I purchased for the pineapple sandals I had my eye on, so I’m thrilled. But I am soooo tempted to keep this bag for myself:

However, I don’t NEED it. If your looking for this bag, shoot me an email…I’ll hang on to t for a week or so, and then return it if no one wants it. I have a couple of scarves & cosmetic case too:  (The headband is spoken for….but the two scarves, cosmetic case, and large pink bag, I have those. Shoot me an email: Katespadegirlblog at gmail. Happy to ship overseas as well)

What I wore yesterday to church:

  1. Dress: Kate Spade (super duper outlet steal! Under $70)
  2. Belt: JCrew, off eBay
  3. Shoes: Christian Louboutin (secondhand site. After missing out on a pair on eBay, these popped up on one of the secondhand sites I stalk…I was SO excited!!)
  4. Bracelet: Kate Spade

And today:

  1. Cardigan: Kate Spade (outlet)
  2. Top: Old Navy (thrifted)

Here’s to a great week! Lots of baking for me this week!
