Day 12!

It’s hard to believe we have nearly hit the halfway point for the month of May! Nevertheless, it’s the 12th, and it’s day 12 of my “dress a day in may” journey!

This is dress #15 for the month.

Cardigan: Target (old, 2-ish years old)
Dress: Kate Spade Fleur Dress (purchased at an outlet a couple years ago on major sale)
Belt: Kate Spade (came with a different dress)
Shoes: Montana Strass Christian Louboutin heels
Necklace: Diamond bow, purchased at Ross a few years ago
Handbag: Kate Spade, off eBay

You can’t see it, but I also have a hot pink Kate Spade petticoat underneath my dress. A couple years ago they released a pink & a black petticoat.8 managed to track one down on eBay for 1/3 of the retail price. It’s a really lovely petticoat, just enough “poof”, and it’s a nice quality material.

Hope your Monday is swell!!

Until next time,

St Patrick’s Day

Happy St Patrick’s Day!

I of course dressed for the occasion:

Cardigan: Target
Dress: Kate Spade
Shoes: Manolo Blahnik, Strassed by me
Necklace: Juicy Couture (as it seems my subtle hints to my husband for a real 4-leaf clover has fallen flat. Or perhaps he’s just bought too many dresses for me over the past month!)

Made special treats to tuck into the kids’ lunch boxes:

That was my sole ode to today’s green-filled holiday.

Hope you had a wonderful St Patrick’s Day!

Until next time,

St Patrick’s Day

Wait a second, St Patrick’s Day isn’t until Monday!! That’s right, but you see I had it in my little blonde head that it was today. Which in reality is kind of a good thing, as it means for once I was ACTUALLY PREPARED ahead of time!! Thursday is my bible study day, so I suppose that’s where it came from.

Since, you know, I like to bring sparkly fun things to my little group of ladies on Thursdays. Hey, they need some sparkle action!

Our table & goodies (all assembled by yours truly):

Aren’t the little bags of lucky charms the cutest?! I snagged those from Pinterest (which I don’t use all that often, because it is addicting!). I intend to tuck one in everyone’s lunch boxes on Monday!

And I went festive in my dress today, which btw, the last time I wore this dress was February 9th! How do I know this? I found a receipt in the pocket!!!

Cardigan: Kate Spade
Dress: Kate Spade
Belt: Kate Spade
Necklace: Kate Spade
Shoes: Montana Strass Christian Louboutin

Hmmm, it seems I have a Kate Spade problem!! Even worse? I have two charge sends in transit with ups from a location I ordered things from. I’m super duper excited about it! Reality is, they are early Birthday/Christmas presents, but this way I can enjoy them all year! My husband spoils me. (Heck, I spoil me!!)

After that though, it’s time to put myself on a small shopping ban. Not too long, as we have trips coming up that put us in MAJOR outlet shopping territory, but perhaps turn off eBay, except for selling. My only saving grace is that I have been selling a lot of items lately in various places, so it covers anything I’ve bought off eBay. But still.

I still have my blog sale up, I need to update as items have sold. Please feel free to make offers, I will combine items and discount them, as all pricing does include domestic shipping.

Until next time,

Green with Envy

Okay, perhaps I went a wee bit overboard with the green today, however I enjoyed it! My favorite compliment of the day was “your shoes remind me of ice cream and Easter”. Strange? Yes! But it was also strangely flattering in that it put a smile on my face and a lightness in my step! The weather was also gorgeous today, AND bible study started back up, all wonderful things to make Thursday a great day!

My outfit today:

Cardigan: Banana Republic (off eBay, under $15)
Dress: Kate Spade
Shoes: Manolo Blahnik Strassed by me
Necklace: Kate Spade (thanks mom!!!)

I’ve also been making progress on my heels, as the event I want to wear them is next week, not two weeks away as I previously thought! Whoopsie.

I got further after that last photo, but with the wet glue it isn’t very pretty. I figure I’ll have them done by Saturday if I keep plugging along. I also can’t wait to share the gorgeous dress I Thrifted to wear with them!!!

Until next time,

Navy & Green

Today I had a very full schedule, yet I still managed to find time to change twice!!!

I started this morning with this:

Cardigan: Banana Republic Cashmere cardigan (off eBay!)
Skirt: Banana Republic
Shoes: Montana Strass Christian Louboutin
Handbag: Kate Spade

And then to deliver pizza and cookie for the cross country team party, I changed into this (as the temperature had gone from 34 degrees to 76 degrees!)

Cardigan: from Ross
Skirt: Kate Spade
Shoes & Handbag: same

The cookies I made, salted chocolate chip and sugar cookies:

They were oh-so-yummy. About 50-ish kids devoured over 300 cookies!!! Tomorrow I will commence baking rainbow cupcakes for a friend of mine’s daughters birthday party. I am wondering when all this sugar and sweetness will rub off on my disposition!

Until next time,

Brrrr, it’s cold!

It’s cold out! It actually snowed yesterday (didn’t stick though), and it was so overcast, I didn’t snap an outfit photo before I left. And when I got home yesterday, I was so cold I put my pjs back on and climbed back into bed!

But here’s what I wore:

Cardigan: Target, $10 on sale 6+ years ago (it’s 100% cashmere)
Skirt: Escada, thrifted
Shoes: Strassed Christian Louboutin flats. (Sadly the paint is peeling, this is just a pair that is going to give me fits!!)

I also wore this jewelry:

Watch: Vintage Omega Seamaster (I bought this as an engagement present for my husband. Since then I picked him up a vintage Rolex he wears daily, and have swiped this one for moi. It’s perfect for my achy arthritic wrists. Not too heavy, no metal band, and I love the big face!)
Earrings: vintage diamond drops, off eBay
Necklace: vintage, was my great-grandmothers. It’s signed “Bogoff”
Ring: yellow & white diamond “flower”. I picked this up several years ago, trading in an unwanted piece. It’s very unique, and I adore it!

And this afternoon after another lazy day (hey, it’s cold, an my arthritis is giving me a rough time. Plus I have 3 more days before I really have to work this year and the kids go back to school), I had to run some errands. Here’s my “it’s cold, okay, I’ll concede and wear pants”:

Blouse & Cardigan (not shown): Target
Pants: Banana Republic
Scarf: Carnival Cruise ship $10 store
Jacket: Kate Spade Tulip Coat
Handbag: Kate Spade Crossbody
Gloves: Kate Spade
Shoes: Christian Louboutin

And, I received these beauties in the post today:

I had to go pick them up, and promptly put them on. I received several compliments while running the rest of my errands. Simple 100 patent red! So excited!!! They are a bright red, not the more subdued burgundy red my Jimmy Choo heels are. Frankly, these are more comfortable. Simple 100’s are like butter on my feet. But alas, for now, red and navy will have to do!

And with that, I’m off to finish a few things this evening and go to bed. All this cold weather makes me tired!

Until next time,
