Oh hello Friday, so nice to see you! I’m super excited for the weekend ahead and the holiday next week!

Yesterday I wore this:

  1. Cardigan: Kate Spade
  2. Skirt: French Connection
  3. Shoes: SJP

And today:

  1. Cardigan: Banana Republic Outlet
  2. Dress: Kate Spade
  3. Belt & Necklace: Kate Spade
  4. Shoes: Jimmy Choo

I also started a new project:

Super excited for this pair! I have a pink strassed flats, but not heels. I’m using several shades of pink stones, I really am liking the effect. Hope you have a great weekend ahead, you know what’s going to be occupying my weekend!

Until next time,

RUN from email!!

Oh heavens, I hope I’m not the only one bombarded by all the after Christmas sale emails!!! I fear my husband and I have caved not once, but TWICE now. OOPS. On the bright side I am not excited about anything coming out clothing wise in 2015, so hopefully that will cull the urge to shop. Le sigh. I do know I have amassed quite a collection of some very beautiful dresses in 2014, and could probably very well never buy another one!!

Anyway, some outfit recaps, starting with what I wore yesterday:

Cardigan: Kate Spade
Skirt: French Connection
Shoes: Kate Spade
Handbag: Kate Spade

Today we went to chaperone the spending of the kids’ Christmas gift cards (and deliver a cake, more on that below):

Cardigan: JCrew Kids (honestly threw this on because it was right there. Not the best look though)
Dress: Kate Spade
Belt: Target (kids section!!!)
Shoes: Christian Louboutin

Yesterday I finally connected with a client whom there had been a communication breakdown with a week ago (my phone is holding a voicemail hostage from her!!), and so we were able to finalize her sons birthday cake, for delivery TODAY.

Oh my! So I was up into the wee hours this morning with Winnie and Tigger and Piglet:

If I may say so, not bad for a VERY short turn around!!! So cute, and yes everything is made from sugar.

And with that, I’m wiped out! Hope you are enjoying the weekend after Christmas!!

Until next time,

Mid-Week Musings

I was able to pop into the Fashion Island Kate Spade store on Sunday and see the new collection! These are my two favorites:

Train Clutch & Coinpurse

Raccoon Coin Purse (isn’t he the sweetest?!):

Our Fall Break is nearly over, I’m kind of excited to get back to the “normal” schedule. It always throws me off when the kids are on break and I still have to get up early to do whatever it is I have to do! I classify myself at a “stay at home mom”, but the reality is, I own a business and work a part-time (ish) job, so while I’m there for the kids for whatever they need/school stuff/etc, it seems like I’m not home very often! I wouldn’t have it any other way. I enjoy the “go go go”! Life is so exciting, it’s like “what’s next?!”.

And dare I mention the fact that Christmas is about two and a half months away?! Squee! I’m done with most of my gift buying, but I can’t wait to wrap everything and see those faces when they open them! (I love buying gifts for people. Way more than actually receiving them.) So excited for this year!

Have a great week!

Until next time,

Week in Review

It’s been a wild week! It seems everytime my kiddos go on break and end up with my parents, I end up being busier than normal. Still trying to figure that one out!

Anyway, I have a few outfit snaps from this past week, although I’ve been repeating a lot of outfits merely for convenience.

Like this, I wore my Hattie dress twice this past week (same shoes & cardigan both times. So original I know!)

Cardigan: I.N.C., purchased at It’s a Wrap in Hollywood
Dress: Kate Spade Hattie dress
Shoes: Kate Spade

Monday I really had an adventure, and wore this (ice skating, a couple hours at Disneyland, being a chauffeur)

Cardigan: Ross
Dress: Kate Spade Laundry Dress (some of the outlets still have this one)
Belt: Anthropologie
Shoes: Strassed Christian Louboutin

Thursday I spent the day in LA, and while I didn’t snap photos of what o had on (it was still dark out when I left), this is what I wore:

(Only photo I could find!!)
Dress: Kate Spade
Shoes: Strassed Jimmy Choo Flats
Handbag: Kate Spade

Yesterday I wore a new dress I picked up at Nordstrom Rack Thursday, I went a size up, because the length was 2″ longer. So it has more of a boho vibe I suppose. So cute, and I love that it has pockets!!

Cardigan: Target
Dress: French Connection
Shoes: Christian Louboutin Strassed flats

I also wore this one day this past week:

Dress: Kate Spade
Shoes: Strassed Jimmy Choo flats

Hit up Sugarfina in Beverly Hills(hello new obsession, champagne gummy bears!!)

Went ice skating:

Halloween time at Disneyland:

Ate my weight in eggs & bacon:

And finished off with a green smoothie:

Ready for the weekend & my kiddos to come home today! Have a good weekend y’all!

Until next time,

Super Bowl Sunday!

I must confess, I have no desire to watch the game this evening. None. In fact, I briefly pulled Facebook up and promptly closed it, all the “wars” going on over commercials, halftime show, who’s winning, bad calls, etc etc. I suppose it also helps that we don’t have cable tv! (Don’t worry, between our DVD collection, Amazon Prime streaming and Redbox rentals, I see more than my fair share of tv!!) We were invited to several parties, but as I am still recovering from what has now been almost 6 weeks of illness? I’ve spent my day at home in bed, in my PJs! (It’s quite blissful really!)

However yesterday I did tackle a project. You see we have this closet under our stairs, it’s about 6ft wide and 8-ish feet deep (and 6ft tall). It was packed to the gills with all my event stuff (linens, glassware, rentals, etc). Late last year my husband purchased new shelving for our garage and said he’d move all my stuff out there, so when I need one item, I’m not pulling out the entire closet for it. Yay! To give you an idea, this is about 1/3 of what was in that closet:

The room empty:

Putting in shelves and filling them:

And my favorite addition, putting my sewing table (that had formerly resided in my bedroom….which meant I never used it for a sewing table, as hauling all the sewing supplies upstairs was a task):

I’m also going to hang some pin boards, and probably a few framed Kate Spade prints. I now call the closet my “craft/panic/hiding room”.

And now I need to hunt down a proper chair for my bedroom + a cute something for my lamp, but until then, I swiped the chair I bought last year from the music room:

Because having it there will hopefully convince my husband we need a bigger chair for that corner. Of course as I super dislike furniture shopping, who knows how long it will actually take. Until then, it’s a great play to toss clothing.

What I wore on Friday:

Cardigan: Ross
Blouse: Banana Republic
Pants: Banana Republic
Shoes: Christian Louboutin

And yesterday, when we popped out to pick up science boards for school projects:

Cardigan: Ross
Skirt: French Connection (thrifted)
Shoes: Christian Louboutin
Necklace: no idea.

The necklace I wore yesterday is identical to the one in my giveaway!

Go, enter, it’s open to anyone anywhere! See post for rules.

The prizes: (plus whatever else I toss in)

Good luck!

Have a wonderful Super Bowl Sunday!

Until next time,
