Another day this week has ended, and even though I wore two outfits, they were BOTH blue tones! Whoops!

My first outfit today:

Cardigan: Neiman Marcus Cashmere (secondhand, from it’s a wrap)
Dress: Carmen Marc Valvo
Shoes: goodwill, $3

My second outfit:

Top: Forever 21, from 5 years ago
Skirt: thrifted
Shoes: Christian Louboutin

Oh my goodness, I can hardly believe the 3rd week of school is coming to a close! I’m excited for this weekend, I’m driving for ROTC on Saturday and will be spending the day in my favorite place with some friends of mine. Watch my Instagram for some fun photos!

Until next time,

Navy & Red

Today I’m running to get flowers for my wedding this weekend. I’m hoping that perhaps it will be cooler down there! It was 108 yesterday, ugh. (and humid) last night when I went to bed, at 11pm, it was still 92 degrees!

The Rundown:
Cardigan: Forever 21 (this is ages old)
Blouse: Old Navy, under $10
Skirt: Banana Republic
Belt: thrifted, $1
Shoes: Jimmy Choo, off eBay
Handbag: Kate Spade, gift from a friend

And I’ve been busy busy busy the past couple of days!

Chocolate Peanut Butter “haystacks”

Buttery Sugar Cookies (always requested at Christmas)

And I’m thrilled! I had a 75% success rate with my French Macarons yesterday! (well, maybe more, I have 38 “macawrongs”, and 160 Macarons) I did them in a pale lavender to match the brides color palette.

What I’m Wearing

It’s been busy today! I’m in the middle of prepping for a huge event I have in a couple of weeks, which means sorting linens, pulling everything from my storage closet, making a big pile of breakable items, and haphazardly putting the stuff I don’t need away.

Yes, not the best organization skills. I am lucky to keep my shoes organized to be honest! My huge 8×10 storage closet? Hopeless!

Anyway, what I wore to deliver a cake & buy more storage totes at Target. I’m now covered in glitter, dust, and some strange shimmery powder. And lots of thread from organizing (er, throwing it all in one big tote) ribbon!

But before I got sparkly

The Rundown:
Cardigan: Forever 21 (yes, I now realize I wear this a ton!!)
Top: Kate Spade, off eBay
Necklace: Kohls, $4.60 (I stalked this for over a month!)
Skirt: Kate Spade
Belt: Target ($3!)
Shoes: Jimmy Choo
Handbag(not pictured): same black Kate Spade I’ve been dragging around all week.

Back to organizing! Also, I will introduce y’all to Milo of the Lollipop Forest at some point this weekend.

Until next time,

What I’m Wearing

It’s a crazy week! Kids’ last week of school, planning summer activities, and meeting with potential clients. To those whom I owe emails in regards to my blog sale, I apologize!! I haven’t been able to really sit down and get on my computer.

So, today, it’s chilly here!! Yesterday it hit close to 90, and this morning it was 50, but that wind!! (on the bright side, we’ve only run the a/c a handful of times all year, and only because I was working with chocolate) it’s still only 70! In June!!

The Rundown:
Cardigan: Target (also have in black) under $10 on sale
Blouse: Forever 21, $4 or $5 on sale (bought this a couple of years ago, after I nearly swiped my sister’s!!)
Pants: Banana Republic
Shoes: Jimmy Choo red patent heels (wierd! I’ve been wearing strassed and sequined shoes, these are so light for heels!!!!)
Handbag: Kate Spade (this bag was the best investment ever!! Especially at $40!)
Jewelery: Kate Spade Dragonfly Statement necklace paired with simple diamond studs. (my studs are 1cttw. I had larger but swapped with my mother. These are smaller but sparklier!!)

And I’m off and running. Kid pickup, meeting about the 8th grade class trip next year (hello Washington DC!! I’m so excited that I get to go. It’s a tour of about 31 of us, so it will be really neat!!), then meeting with someone about a last minute graduation cake. Whew.

Seriously? I think running through DC for 6 days with 13 & 14 yr olds will be a vacation!!! I wouldn’t change my life, I do enjoy staying busy. It also keeps my arthritis in check, and less time to sit and dwell on it the better! And less time to shop/buy things I do not need!!!!

Until next time,

What I’m Wearing

Whew! Busy busy day!! We have been tearing up our yard for over a year now, and finally we’re at the “plant pretty things” stage! I planted gebera daisies, dahlias and lantanas today. Soooo excited! And I will pick up more roses next Friday to plant in the now-empty beds out front. It’s going to smell amazing when we are done! (we have a waterfall into our pond, and I’m going to put flowering jasmine up there. That stuff grows so well here. And the smell, mmmmmmm)

Anyway, I finally got presentable because I had a consult this afternoon.

The Rundown:
Cardigan: Forever 21
Blouse: Nanette Lepore
Skirt: Kate Spade
Shoes: Hand-strassed Stuart Weitzmans
Handbag: Kate Spade

I love my shoes. I mean, I love these shoes!! I would wear them every day if I could. Now I need to find time (and crystals!!) to do a second pair. I suppose I need a shoe too!

Maybe July. I have a fairly light schedule in July (going to need it!)

Until next time,

What I’m Wearing & Other Thoughts

Outfit change!! We went to church this evening, and so I put something more appropriate (in my book anyway) on, especially as it gets chilly after!

The Rundown:
Cardigan: Forever 21
Blouse: Old Navy
Skirt: Kate Spade
Belt: Target
Shoes: Jimmy Choo
Handbag: Coach

I just realized the picture I took is horrible!! Whoops!!!

On another note, I’ve had some wild adventures this weekend.

Cake I delivered today

Bridal Bouquet (yes, I strassed the ribbon!! It was a little extra “something blue”)

And cupcakes for my baby who is now a whopping 6 years old!!!!

Let’s just say, my interpretation of Angry Birds is well, thrown together at the last minute! Kids didn’t care, they loved them!! One was a 7-up pound cake with lemon-line icing, the other my double chocolate with rich chocolate buttercream. Mmmmm. (I didn’t eat any, I was good!!)

I’m really considering a cake ball. But I’ll probably be good. It was a long day delivering, cupcakes, church and now prepping for tomorrow and Monday (I do most of my consults those days)

But they do sparkle!!

I ❤ edible glitter. I go through buckets of it!!

Happy Saturday! Not sure if I will have time tomorrow to post what I'm wearing, it might be late. I'm hoping to have my blog sale items up on Monday too!

Until next time,
