Weekend Recap

I had every intention of blogging last night, and then I got wrapped in macaron-making! It’s been a busy baking weekend, that is for sure.

Saturday I wore this:

  1. Blouse: Kohls
  2. Skirt: Dress Corilynn (although ahe doesn’t make them anymore!!)
  3. Belt: secondhand
  4. Shoes: Kate Spade

Sunday I wore this to church:

  1.  Dress: Kate Spade Lyric (and a little birdie told me this dress was done in black & white for fall!)
  2. Shoes: Kate Spade
  3. Handbag: Kate Spade
  4. Necklace: Kate Spade

Today I wore this:

  1.  Dress: Kate Spade
  2. Belt: Secondhand
  3. Shoes: Kate Spade

The newest collection hit the stores today! I haven’t been in to look, however I’m loving these dresses:

And the creatures! Sigh. If only I had a winning lottery ticket. However the dresses above, I don’t know if they will find a home in my closet, as I am having a bit of a crowd control problem!

I also made this on Saturday:

Such a fun cake! It was a dad and his 3 kids’ HUGE birthday bash. The girls picked all those flowers for their part of the cake. I was informed it was a huge hit and there wasn’t a crumb left. Success!!!

And last night, these:

Mmmmm. I’m in full swing this month! Happy Monday!

Until next time,

Oh my goodness, did you get caught up in the Lilly Pulitzer for Target frenzy?! I didn’t mean too…I just happened to see it, and then it snowballed into buying tons of stuff for ladies all over the country who couldn’t get what they wanted because of the crazy eBay re-sellers!!! Total insanity!!! It’s a cute line, and I did manage to trade some pieces I purchased for the pineapple sandals I had my eye on, so I’m thrilled. But I am soooo tempted to keep this bag for myself:

However, I don’t NEED it. If your looking for this bag, shoot me an email…I’ll hang on to t for a week or so, and then return it if no one wants it. I have a couple of scarves & cosmetic case too:  (The headband is spoken for….but the two scarves, cosmetic case, and large pink bag, I have those. Shoot me an email: Katespadegirlblog at gmail. Happy to ship overseas as well)

What I wore yesterday to church:

  1. Dress: Kate Spade (super duper outlet steal! Under $70)
  2. Belt: JCrew, off eBay
  3. Shoes: Christian Louboutin (secondhand site. After missing out on a pair on eBay, these popped up on one of the secondhand sites I stalk…I was SO excited!!)
  4. Bracelet: Kate Spade

And today:

  1. Cardigan: Kate Spade (outlet)
  2. Top: Old Navy (thrifted)
  3. Belt: JCrew
  4. Skirt: Dress Corilynn
  5. Shoes: Christian Louboutin, strassed by me
  6. Handbag: Kate Spade

Here’s to a great week! Lots of baking for me this week!

Until next time,

Start of the School Year

Oh my, can you believe it? School started today!!! I was hoping to grab a nap this afternoon, however I had to work longer than usual, so, I’m chilling for a short time period before braving the pickup lines at school (which if this morning was any indication, this afternoon will be insane!)

I have neglected outfit shots, but I did take some yesterday:

Dress: Kate Spade Hattie Dress
Shoes: Kate Spade

And today, Anchors Away!

Top: Anthropologie, Thrifted
Skirt: Dress Corilynn
Belt: Kate Spade
Shoes: Manolo Blahnik, Strassed by me.

The past couple of weeks has been so insane, I couldn’t even begin to explain! San Francisco, Los Angeles, Orange County, Las Vegas, I feel like I have lived either in a hotel or in my car! Anyway, it’s back to “normal” in my world!

Until next time,

106 Degrees?!

Say what?! 106 degrees?! Yes, that’s what it was where I live today!!! The proof:

Note that it is about 7pm right now, and the photo above is WRONG! It’s 98 degrees out still! Oh my! Which meant I actually wore two outfits today, one to the office, one to run errands this evening.

The first:

Cardigan: Kate Spade
Top: Old Navy (Thrifted)
Skirt: Dress Corilynn
Belt: It’s a Wrap
Shoes: Crystal AB strass Manolos
Handbag: Kate Spade
Necklace: Ben Amun (which I LOVE!)

And what I wore out this afternoon:

Dress: David’s Bridal (goodwill find)
Brooch: Ben Amun (a newly discovered jewel maker whom I adore!)
Shoes: Jimmy Choo
Tiny Purse: Kate Spade

And that’s a wrap! Stay cool, I’m going to drown my sorrows in a big bowl of strawberry ice cream and prop my feet up. It’s been one of those types of days!

Until next time,

It’s Here, SPRING!

I’m excited for today, because it marks and end (haha) to winter and ushers in the glorious season of spring!

Okay, my trees and flowers have been flowering for over a month now, but hey, who’s counting?!

Today I’m wearing some fun vintage, this dress I picked up Sunday at It’s a Wrap in Hollywood. Seriously, if you are ever in La, GO! So much fun!!

Cardigan: Kate Spade
Dress: Vintage
Belt: made my me
Shoes: Kate Spade
Handbag: Kate Spade

Although I now realize I need a pale pink handbag. Because I haven’t bought enough stuff lately.

And for fun, the skirt I wore yesterday, my Instagram of it was reported on the makers Instagram. Lookie:

So cool! I love that skirt, it’s something I would wear daily. So if you found my blog from that Instagram, thanks for stopping by! I try to post daily, and I post what I’m actually wearing, I don’t take photos of clothes just to post online. This is my actual style/fashion diary.

Happy Thursday y’all!!

Until next time,

Wow, it’s such a gorgeous day today!!! Seriously, can one beat this:

I mean, wow! I wish I could say I spent time out there, but alas, me + sun does not equal a nice equation! My kids are out enjoying it this afternoon though!

My outfits today(I changed it up a bit after lunch):

The photos above do NOT show the true colour of my sweater! These are more accurate (and show how important lighting is for photographs!):

Cardigan: Kate Spade (Woodbury Commons outlet)
Top: Old Navy (NWT, $3 @ goodwill)
Skirt: Corilynn
Shoes: Kate Spade Multi-Glitter Heels (I also own these in a pale rose gold pink)
Handbag: Kate Spade

And of course it seems it’s never a proper Wednesday unless I bake something! I threw together some lemon-raspberry thumbprint cookies for someone quite dear to me. Especially because he consumes large quantities of anything I bake for him!

Hope your week is going stellar!

Until next time,
