February?!

How have 31(well 32 now) days of 2017 passed already? My new “normal” is so different than it was just a few short months ago, and I’m still struggling to catch up and keep up! But I DO keep up with dressing most days. A few recent outfits:

Sweater: Banana Republis; Skirt & Scarf: Kate Spade ; Shoes: Christian Louboutin

Shrug: Limited; Everything Else: Kate Spade

Sweater & Skirt: Kate Spade; Shoes: Jimmy Choo (strassed by me)

Cardigan: Target; Everything Else: Kate Spade

Sweater & Skirt: Kate Spade; Shoes: Louboutins

Cardigan: Kate Spade; Dress: Vintage; Shoes: Louboutin

Until next time,

Jules

Woah

I haven’t forgotten my blog, it’s just that we are in the middle of some huge life changes, and I have not made blogging a priority over the last month. I do try to keep up on Instagram, some days are better than others!

Some recent outfits:
Went to a film premiere last night in Hollywood, Boo! A Madea Halloween. Which, is HILARIOUS. My husband picked out this dress, it’s a Kay Unger and it has POCKETS:

Best part? It officially opens on my birthday! It’s actually a movie I would let the kids watch, it has a good message.

We have a new friend, Roxy, who is enjoying her happily ever after with Rocky:

I’ve added many dresses over the last month (oops), but I’m not excited about the recent Kate Spade released, which does make my bank account happy. I really need to finish the closet clean out I started, it’s a little out of control in there!

Biggest news is my husband has taken a job in Los Angeles, which means we will be moving there within the next couple of years. I’m still kind of in shock it all went down, it was fast and completely unexpected! He has settled in nicely, and the upheaval we’ve been going through the last few weeks seems to be calming down finally this week. Not sure how I feel yet about being LA bound, but it should be an interesting adventure!

Until next time,

Jules

Stripes!

Well hello there Monday, nice to see you again. It was brutally hot today, and I can’t seem to unwind. The last dregs of summer have arrived, and boy are they sticky!!

I pulled out an older Jillian dress today, a style I love for windy days, I don’t have to worry about “dress up” moments!!

  1. Dress: Kate Spade Jillian
  2. Shoes: Christian Louboutin
  3. Handbag: Kate Spade
  4. Necklace: Kate Spade

I ended up swapping out my shoes before I left the house, I wore pointy shoes on Sunday and my toes can only handle it for so many hours, especially in the middle of August when we have a heat wave that includes humidity! (Thank you inflammatory arthritis!)

Until next time,

Jules

Week in Review

This past week has been, to put it lightly, late nights and little sleep! Last weekend we shipped the younger 3 kids off to summer camp for the week, and my husband and I took off for a belated anniversary trip. Where did we go? Disneyland! We were worried about the crowd levels, but 4th of July was a magical day at Disneyland! We had a BALL.

We did the Frozen Lunch VIP experience at Carthay Circle and it was nice. I’m still dreaming about those sno-cones! I highly recommend it if you have the time. Food was delicious!

Some outfits from the week:

  1. Dress: Kate Spade
  2. Shoes: Christian Louboutin

  1. Dress: Kate Spade
  2. Belt: secondhand

Lots of baking this week:

And of course the biggie this week, a gorgeous wedding last night….cake, flowers and so much more. I have an incredible team and we really pulled it off!

So beautiful, but SO MUCH work. I’m exhausted today!

Until next time,

Jules

Catching Up

Wait, it’s June?! The middle of June already?! HOW?! The past few months have been a whirlwind of an insane work schedule, the kids’ school schedules, and some personal issues that have taken over our entire family. I have still been putting myself together daily, and I do usually throw photos up on Instagram. Things have calmed down quite a bit, especially with school out and my oldest teenager has gone off to an all-boy summer camp in the upper midwest, which should bring some quietness around here! Somehow in the middle of everything my husband and I have made it to 6 years of marriage, although after the last 3-4 months it feels like a lot more! The occasion was met with a nice quiet Sunday at home this afternoon, a nice change from all the recent chaos.

Some outfit recaps:

I did a huge dessert spread for a local Relay for Life event:

A graduation cake for a special young lady:

A trip to Long Beach this last week, and we spent a whole day exploring the Belmont Shore area: (not my dog, I was puppy sitting….isn’t she adorable?!)

This summer will be interesting with only 3 kids. I am sad for my house to be incomplete, but I know the opportunity for my oldest son is once in a lifetime, the chance to spend 8 weeks away from EVERYTHING. We are praying it gives him some guidance and clarity as he starts his senior year in August.

My mom went with us (as did a few other people….he had quite the entourage to send him through that TSA line!!), I couldn’t believe how many travelers fly red eyes out of LAX!!! But he arrived and reports from camp say he is enjoying it so far. (It’s only two days in at this point) I admit I cried before putting him on that plane….it’s hit me that all the kids are growing up, and far too quickly!!!

Until next time,

Jules

Eeks!

I think this is the busiest May EVER. It’s been a constant juggle of schedules, cakes, and Macarons. I am thankful I have a kid who drives, otherwise I might have had a total breakdown at this point!

First, can we discuss my daughter? (Who will probably KILL me for this!!) When did she grow up?! And wearing MY SHOES! Ack!! She had a talent show tonight, and we picked up this dress for .99 at Neiman Marcus Last Call a week ago. Yup, .99!!! I actually bought her two, this one (I think it’s David Meister) and a DVF, both were .99, and hey, it helps to have options right?! Shoes and necklace are Kate Spade, belt is Anthro, and she did her own makeup:

I know. I am so screwed y’all. The teen years are looming!!!

Until next time,

Jules

On the ice cream truck! It’s one of my favorite novelty bags, it’s the perfect size and it can be used cross body! Very well made with exquisite details.

I also made lots of these:

Dino Cake (isn’t he ADORABLE?!)

And a replica of my grandmothers wedding cake for her 5-year anniversary this past Saturday (they renewed their vows as well, it was so sweet), and my mom made a lovely display:

I didn’t take a photo of my outfit Saturday, simply because we had to deliver Dino, I was running on about 12 hours sleep over 3 days, and then we had to book it down to Palm Springs. But I did take a fun photo to send to my husband:

I know, I am utterly ridiculous! I wore my hazy floral dress (if you don’t own it, go buy it! Sale is on additional sale in stores at Kate Spade!!) and some sparkly shoes. It was in the 90’s out there! But a perfect sunny Palm Springs day.

Until next time,

Jules
