Christmas in Review

Wow, Christmas 2015, it’s over already?! I admit to staying in my PJs ALL DAY yesterday, it was glorious!!!! We stay home on Christmas, so there was lots of cooking going on here. My schedule has been so packed, I didn’t even finish wrapped until nearly 2am Christmas morning. OOPS!

We actually scaled way back on gifting this year….instead of the normal 15-20 packages, the kids had about 6 each. We sort of followed the “4 things” idea, but I also do “food boxes” for my boys, they love that!!

Christmas Eve we went to my aunt’s house, and I wore this: (after baking 8 pies & countless cookies that morning!)

  1. Dress: Kate Spade Olsen
  2. Belt: Kate Spade
  3. Shoes: Christian Louboutin, strassed by me

Yes, a new pair of strassed heels! I actually have some projects I am supposed to be working on, but I got the inspiration for these and I couldn’t stop once I started! The shoes were a grey metallic leather to begin with, and I used silver shade, alexandrite, black diamond, Crystal lagoon, and Crystal viridian (all preciosa, except the silver shade). The way these catch the light is INSANE!

Hopefully the video above loads okay! First time I have uploaded one since I upgraded my blog!

Some other highlights from the past week:

 Monday….normal working mom day!

  1. Cardigan: Banana Republic
  2. Dress: Kate Spade
  3. Belt: Secondhand
  4. Shoes: Sam Edleman

Wednesday to attend church (as I didn’t get dressed on Tuesday!)

  1.  Cardigan: Banana Republic (I have 2 or 3 of these!)
  2. Skirt: Kate Spade
  3. Shoes: Kate Spade
  4. Pearls: Thrifted

And finally today, I took my daughter shopping (wasn’t horrible!)

  1. Cardigan: Banana Republic (hey, it’s cold and it’s long sleeves!!)
  2. Dress: Kate Spade
  3. Belt: Kate Spade
  4. Shoes: Kate Spade (they are super comfortable!)

The cats went out to shop too:

Hope your Christmas was Merry & bright! I’m looking forward to 2016, it’s shaping up to be a very busy and rewarding year!

Happy Holidays!

Holiday Recap

Sitting in my bed attempting to recover from too much holiday cheer, I’ve been having TV marathons, Torchwood & Sherlock Holmes. As Watson is recounting his blog hits to Sherlock I realize I should possibly make an attempt to blog myself!!

My Christmas Day ensemble was a repeat of a couple of weeks ago. I forgot to snap a photo, so I am reporting the photo I took back on the 12th.

Cardigan: Kohls
Dress: Calvin Klein
Belt: Thrifted
Shoes: Strassed Jimmy Choo flats

The madness from our morning:

For some unknown reason I decided to adopt the saying “tripping the light fantastic” from Faux Fuchsia’s blog. I think it was the bubbles my youngest some gifted me, along with all the craziness of our over excessive consumerism this year! Somehow we spent less money, yet had more stuff. Not sure if that is a good thing or a bad thing!

We ended the night watching the Hobbit.

To which our response to the ending was: “WHAT?!”. Sigh. Now a whole year to see the rest!

I went to work on Friday:

Cardigan: Target
Skirt: Vintage
Shoes: Christian Louboutin Simples

And yesterday to run out shopping with all the kiddos (to spend their holiday money):

Cardigan: Kate Spade
Blouse: Kate Spade
Pants: Banana Republic
Shoes: Strassed Jimmy Choos

And today I wore the same pants above with this blouse/sweater combo:

Cardigan: Banana Republic Outlet, $10
Blouse: Banana Republic Outlet, $7

Love before holiday sales!!

And that is my oh-so-not-exciting weekend. I caught a chest-something over the holiday, mainly because I never know when to stop and take a rest!

Hope your holiday was fabulous and that YOU tripped the light fantastic!!

Until next time?

Also hit the Kate Spade outlet last night, everything in the store is an additional 60% off. I wish I could have posted a fabulous haul post, but all I purchased was leather cleaner and earmuffs!

Some Thoughts & Giveaway Winners!

I have two things! First, a huge thank you to all my readers, and those who entered my giveaway! So, drumroll please……

Maria Zimmerman

Jeffery Lum

Please contact me with your address so I can ship your prizes!

I ran trough Target this morning, and the Neiman Marcus collection is 50% off. Mine had everything till. I did pick up the Lela Rose dress. Might go back for the blouse.

So, I’ve not been updating, simply because the week before Christmas is always super busy for me. Some things I’ve done this past week:

North Pole Mini Cupcakes (250 of them!)

An anniversary cake:

A trip to Disneyland and Logan’s Candies (in Ontario, Ca) for fresh handmade candy canes (Disneyland one is on the left. Logan’s won in taste!)

Cake pops! (Over 300 this week! These are Andes Mint)

I’m running home tonight for more peppermint bark, almond roca, an sugar cookies. I have an order for “goodies” for the staff and teachers at a local school. And then the holiday parties begin!

I’m going to set up my kiddos to decorate gingerbread houses tonight (no, I bought the sets, I’m not that much of a super mom), while I’m baking. We’ve had some health issues in our household too, so it’s been wild. Lots of running around. I’m hoping to be done baking tonight, before my last massage appointment this year. I may try to squeeze one last one in on Christmas Eve though, my gal is working that morning. All this baking, my shoulders are a mess!!!

Are you ready for Christmas? I’m almost there. Just a few thing left to wrap.

Congratulations to my winners!

Until next time,
