Hello March

So it’s been a month since my last post. Right after my last post my daughter had a medical emergency at school, and our new “normal” we had just adjusted too was turned utterly UPSIDE DOWN. I have always respected parents who take care of sick children, knowing it’s difficult and being unable to imagine what they are going through. Well, now I understand. Watching your 12-year old daughter go from this vibrant child to requiring a wheelchair and spending much of our time in Drs offices is the most difficult thing EVER. It sure does make you reflect on priorities!! Oh, and pants. Because sometimes trying to wrangle a wheelchair in a skirt is very very difficult!

November

Wait, it’s November? And we have a time change coming? *head spins* How is this possible?! This year has FLOWN by! There is a silver lining this weekend….additional 30% off sale items at Kate Spade!

I am trying to not look (it’s very hard). I really don’t need another dress. In fact, I should probably continue to clear my closet out.

Some recent outfits….I’ve been settling into the “new normal”, and combined with the insane hot/cold/hot/cold weather patterns which flares up my health challenges (ugh), but still make an attempt to dress every day!

  1. Cardigan: Kate Spade (old)
  2. Dress: Broome Street (outlet SCORE)
  3. Belt & Shoes: Kate Spade

Some photos of the new holiday items at the outlets:

The pink polka dot bags are not real leather, but they sure are cute! I did pick up a penguin, I mean, with my collection of creatures I HAD too. He’s super cute! I haven’t made it into specialty, but there is some super cute pieces online. I’m not excited about the apparel (which my closet is probably excited about!), but they nailed it on keychains and glitter this year.

Until next time,

Jules

Broome Street

Recently Kate Spade launched their “Broome Street” line, more of a casual line. This simple cotton dress made its way into my closet this week:

  1. Dress: Kate Spade Broome Street (online in the sale section right now!)
  2. Belt: Kate Spade
  3. Shoes: Christian Louboutin
  4. Necklace: strand of pearls with vintage brooch

I felt as if I should have been heading out on a sail boat back east today, instead of out in the wild windy SoCal desert weather! Luckily the fire local to me seems to be contained, which means tomorrow will be back to “normal”, meaning, no more unexpected break for the kids!

Until next time,

Jules

The Horror

It finally happened. I’ve had cell phones for 16 years, and I have never lost or had one stolen.

Until Friday night. When my beloved phone was pickpocketed right out of my purse in a Nike store (NOTE: they have TERRIBLE customer service, even though this is a problem IN this particular store. I am not pleased right now, and we spend a lot of money there!!). Oh and note to self: NEVER TURN OFF FIND MY IPHONE. Gah. Lesson learned. Luckily it did get on a wifi connection and wiped itself eventually. I’m mainly mad about the two months of photos I lost. And the reaction at the Nike store where it happened. Just terrible. I did get a replacement, nothing was compromised (talk about furiously changing all my passwords in the car on my husbands phone while we raced to Verizon to replace it! The Verizon folks were AWESOME), just all my lost photos. Yes, cloud, something I am now using. Still.

So, watch your purse ladies….and never turn off “find my iPhone”! Because yes, I would have been the deranged woman chasing the thieves down.

That said, some outfits, photos taken with my new shiny phone(the camera is quite nice actually!):

  1. Dress: Kate Spade
  2. Belt: secondhand
  3. Shoes: Kate Spade

Life has died down a bit, school is out next week and summer activities shall commence! Still working on some fun family outings, it will be interesting to only have 3 kids all summer, as our oldest will be away at camp for 8 weeks! I’m so excited for him!!

Until next time,

Jules

With Dancing with the Stars wrapped, I move on to the end of my kids’ school year, and the beginning of wedding season. Eeks! I haven’t been doing much shopping lately, but I hear sale is on sale at Kate Spade stores, and there is a surprise sale going on through tonight! I have been good, but after some of my recent couture splurges, I kind of have to be!

Until next time,

Jules
