It’s Tuesday?!

Wait, what?! It’s Tuesday already?! Eeks!! This week is flying by!!

What I wore yesterday:

Cardigan: Kate Spade
Blouse: Nanette Lepore
Skirt: See by Chloe
Shoes: Christian Louboutin
Handbag: Kate Spade
Necklace: Target

And today:

Cardigan: Kate Spade
Dress: Calvin Klein
Belt: Kate Spade
Shoes: Jimmy Choo

I still don’t have my car back, so I am enjoying the lovely loaner still. Perhaps that’s making the week fly by, knowing my carriage has to go back soon!! Oh and the 8 dozen macarons. Just a typical week I suppose!

Hope your week is off to a roaring start!!

Until next time,

Monday Party Time

What a fun weekend, it’s been humid, we’ve had rain, and frankly I feel as if I’m living back in Texas instead of Southern California!! I’m very much over it!

Anyway, what I wore on Saturday:

Top: Kohls
Skirt: thrifted (I think it’s an Anthropologie brand)
Shoes: Jonquil Strassed Jimmy Choo flats
Handbag: Kate Spade Claire ($3 @ Goodwill!)

And my normal vintage Omega watch with a Tiffany & Co bracelet

Then later in the day (as The Engineer and I spent all morning doing errands, hitting garage sales and poking around houses for sale), I changed and put this skirt on with a white t-shirt:

Skirt: Ann Taylor (off eBay)

Yesterday I spent the entire day at home. We all did. But I kept to wearing a skirt, working on wearing as many as possible this month!

Top: Kohls
Skirt: from a friend, no idea!

And then today, I have coined my ensemble as “The Mullet”, business on top, party on the bottom!!

Top: thrifted
Skirt: Chloe
Shoes: Multi-Colour Strassed Manolo Blahnik
Handbag: Kate Spade

Normal “jewels” & watch.

So, here I am 22 days into a 30 day challenge. With changing some days, even wearing dresses a couple of times, I have worn 25 skirts in 22 days!! Of course I own way more than 30 skirts, but it has taught me to downsize a bit! I’ve been selling stuff on eBay, and adding some investment pieces that will last forever. Sadly we are leaving this weekend for a summer trip, so I will not make my 30 day challenge, but I imagine by Saturday I’ll be at 30 skirts anyway!!

Have a lovely day! Me? It’s a day of drs appointments with the kids, school starts in two weeks! Must get prepared!!

Until next time,

What I’m Wearing

I might end up changing before the day is out, but for now, I am choosing to wear what I’ve worn 3 out of the last 4 Fridays!! (but always different shoes)

And my toes are still bugging me, but getting better. A couple more days I hope!!

The Rundown:
Cardigan: Target (girls’ section)
Brooch: Vintage, Salvation Army
Skirt: See by Chloe, off eBay
Shoes: Kate Spade sandals
Handbag: Kate Spade Antoinette

And as a favor to a reader from overseas, a photo with my Eat Cake for Breakfast bag on my shoulder (for those interested in scale, I’m right around 5’4)

Have a lovely Friday everyone!! I will post a giveaway update later this afternoon!! Maybe a sneak peek!

Until next time,

What I’m Wearing

Off to Vegas we go this morning!!

I laid my clothes out last night, like this

And took a picture upside down!

Here’s right side up on me (and yes, it’s essentially what I wore last Friday!!)

The Rundown:
Cardigan: Target Kids Section
Skirt: Chloe, off eBay
Shoes: Nine West, Ross
Handbag: Yellow Kate Spade Maryann
Necklaces: Kohls & Ross
Brooch: Vintage, off eBay

Necklaces & a glimpse of my brooch

I am so excited!! Kate Spade sent an email this morning, today and tomorrow is friends & family!! 25% off online, stores and outlets!!

So excited to stop in Primm now! I also have Banana Republic rewards to spend. Hopefully I’ll have some fun finds to share later!!

Until next time,

What I’m Wearing

I totally forgot to update my outfit yesterday, I ended up changing my shoes to black heels (sequined Miu Miu’s), and it was way awesome! I had alot of fun wearing my Florida skirt.

Here’s what I’m wearing today. I have a pair of heels I would prefer to wear, but as I’m spending the afternoon at Kindergarten in the grass (egg hunt) I need something semi practical!

The rundown
Cardigan: Target, kids section, $4.48 (ish)
Skirt: See by Chloe, $31, off eBay (it still had the tags!)
Shoes: Kate Spade (my tinker bell flats!)
Handbag: Kate Spade (same pink bag from yesterday. I’m being lazy and don’t want to bother changing my bag. It’s close enough!)
Brooch: Vintage, $2 at Salvation Army
No necklace today, just my normal wedding & engagement rings, and my pearl & diamond earrings.

Here’s a closeup of the brooch

Earrings (since I wear them so often! $75 at a local pawn shop)

I love the earrings, the pearls are 8-9mm, and it’s about .7ct of diamonds set in rich 14k gold (but it looks like 18k, it’s a very deep color). I wager these were a custom made piece.

If you know what to look for, shopping for jewels at pawn shops can be really fun! I haven’t been in a while, as I’m trying to cut back on spending. This blog is supposed to help me, you know, so I see what I’ve worn, and get creative instead of wearing the same thing all the time, and wanting to shop because I have “nothing to wear”

I’d like to do a shopping freeze challenge, maybe start at a month? 3 months scares me! May 1st sounds good. Hrm. Something to think about!

For anyone who reads my little corner of the net daily, I thank you! I encourage you to keep reading, I’m working on some items I’ll probably post for sale on here, an a summer giveaway as well. Fun fun!!

Until next time,
