November

Wait, it’s November? And we have a time change coming? *head spins* How is this possible?! This year has FLOWN by! There is a silver lining this weekend….additional 30% off sale items at Kate Spade!

I am trying to not look (it’s very hard). I really don’t need another dress. In fact, I should probably continue to clear my closet out.

Some recent outfits….I’ve been settling into the “new normal”, and combined with the insane hot/cold/hot/cold weather patterns which flares up my health challenges (ugh), but still make an attempt to dress every day!

  1. Cardigan: Kate Spade (old)
  2. Dress: Broome Street (outlet SCORE)
  3. Belt & Shoes: Kate Spade

  1. Cardigan: Kate Spade (old)
  2. Dress: Kate Spade Deanna (old)
  3. Shoes: Christian Louboutin
  4. Handbag: Kate Spade

*looks up* Halloween as “Mary Poppins”….I also had a hat, cape & umbrella. It was so cold I ended up wrapped in a blanket to pass out candy!!

  1. Sweater: Banana Republic Outlet (picked up in 2015, not a recent purchase)
  2. Skirt: Kate Spade (old)
  3. Shoes & Handbag: Kate Spade

This one was head to toe Kate Spade (I am aware I have a problem!!)

  1. Blouse: Ann Taylor
  2. Skirt: Kate Spade
  3. Belt: Target
  4. Shoes, Handbag & Necklace: Kate Spade

  1. Cardigan: Barney’s
  2. Dress: Kate Spade
  3. Belt, Necklace & Handbag: Kate Spade
  4. Shoes: Christian Louboutin

  1. Shirt: Banana Republic
  2. Skirt: Kate Spade
  3. Shoes: Manolo Blahnik
  4. Handbag: Kate Spade

Some photos of the new holiday items at the outlets:

The pink polka dot bags are not real leather, but they sure are cute! I did pick up a penguin, I mean, with my collection of creatures I HAD too. He’s super cute! I haven’t made it into specialty, but there is some super cute pieces online. I’m not excited about the apparel (which my closet is probably excited about!), but they nailed it on keychains and glitter this year.

Until next time,

Jules

Holiday Parties

Last week I spent much time in my kitchen prepping what I thought was my last batch of French Macarons for the year (turns out I’m baking again this week), packing and prepping to go out of town, and finally heading to Omaha to attend a whirlwind of parties & socializing! I did manage to pull myself together in the middle of it all!

Some outfit recaps:

  1. Cardigan: Kate Spade
  2. Dress: Kate Spade
  3. Belt: Secondhand
  4. Shoes: Sam Edleman

What I wore to fly home Saturday morning (sadly I failed to snap a photo the day I left!)

  1. Cardigan: Target
  2. Dress: Kate Spade
  3. Belt: Kate Spade
  4. Shoes: Sam Edleman

Friday-day I had intended to wear this skirt with a cardigan, but I sadly left planned cardigan at home, and packed this one instead: (also the only flats I packed!)

  1. Sweater: Banana Republic
  2. Skirt: Kate Spade
  3. Shoes: Sam Edleman

Sunday….in a dress I picked up while in Omaha at the outlet in Gretna:

  1. Cardigan: Banana Republic
  2. Dress: Kate Spade
  3. Necklace: Kate Spade
  4. Shoes: Kate Spade

Today….milking the Christmas themed attire:

  1. Cardigan: Banana Republic (4 years ago, holiday…its held up quite well!)
  2. Skirt: French Connection
  3. Shoes: Kate Spade

And finally….the two ensembles I packed for the two events we went specifically to Omaha for.

Thursday night, I pulled out the Madison Avenue dress my husband purchased for me earlier this year:

  1. Dress: Kate Spade Madison Ave (I still can’t believe we tracked this one down, and in my perfect size!!)
  2. Shoes: Christian Louboutin Simples strassed in Crystal AB
  3. Handbag: Kate Spade (AKA The Muppet)

I also dragged my dark mink coat with me, thinking it would be quite cold, but the weather ended up being so mild! It was nice to have, as evenings with the wind were quite chilly.

Friday night was the black tie affair, which I had found out about when we were in Phoenix earlier this year, finding this dress the very next day tucked away in a Dillards sale rack! At first I thought it was maybe Alice & Olivia, but whatever brand it was, I will never know! The tag was gone inside and it just had a generic price tag on it. But the moment I put it on, I knew with the addition of straps and the right belt & accessories it would be spectacular! The belt I found just a couple of weeks ago, the clutch back in November, and the jewlery I already had (necklace & bracelets are all Ben-Amun)

My husband and I had a wonderful time, and I loved my ensemble. The dress also had pockets! Not my typical “sparkly” look, but sometimes one must change it up a bit!  We have one more party to attend later this week, and then I shall put my fancy party wear away for a bit. (Kidding!)

Happy Holidays! Are you ready for them? I’m getting there…I am sorely behind this year though, eeks!

Until next time,

Jules

Yes, I bought a pair of pants AND a cat sweater. I couldn’t resist!

The highlight of my week was spending Friday with a pile of friends at Disneyland…AND we got on during a soft opening run of the new Hyperspace Mountian (Space Mountain with a Star Wars overlay)

Cheers to all my “phonies”, and to those who ran any of the various Avengers races this weekend, CONGRATS!! This was the first race I didn’t work this whole year, and while I was super bummed, I needed my sleep today! I did see friends cross the finish on Friday at the 5k! There were some awesome costumes out there!

I made lots of treats for dessert that night, someone else snapped this photo:

Yes, I wore my navy KateSpade sequin dress all day, and these shoes:

Hey, they said it was a “Fall Ball”!

Of course a trip is NOT complete without a castle shot:

And yesterday I stayed in my PJs and put this together:

Looking forward to the week ahead, it’s a busy one! Tuesday I have some EXCITING plans, but I will wait to share them. Watch Instagram!

Until next time,

Jules
