Officially Spring!

For weeks now it has felt like spring, but today it became official!! To “celebrate”, I threw on a simple, yet one of my favorite “sundresses”:

  1. Dress: Kate Spade (outlet, Spring 2014)
  2. Belt: Target (little girls section, 3 for $9.99!)
  3. Shoes: Christian Louboutin (my favorite style of flats)
  4. Handbag: Kate Spade (outlet, Holiday 2013)

I have flats in this style in more colors and leather types than I care to admit, not to mention the pairs I have strassed that are this style! But seriously, they are super comfortable, they don’t cut off circulation to my big toe, and I adore the cut of the shoe! I fully admit every pair I own was either purchased secondhand, or came to me via a pre-owned type situation. I can’t bring myself to spend $400-$500 on a pair of flats….especially when one can find them for under $100! Just have to be a little patient and willing to wait. I have collected my flats over several years, and am always on the hunt for a new color or material!

I know I still have not announced my giveaway winners, and for that I do apologize. It is on my agenda for tomorrow. We were given a HUGE piece of furniture, and I’ve spent a lot of my free “at home” time (limited as it has been, between field trip, picking up my car from being serviced, and everything else!) re-arranging existing furniture and deciding where the new piece will go. And adding some cute framed prints:

Along with my Nana’s antique rocking chair! I’ve been toying with the idea of re-doing  the rocking chair, but the fabric matches the bench on the piano, which is in the same room, so I would have to do both. I will have to see when I’m done with this room and re-evaluate my potential plans. (Yes, I have white leather couches….YIKES!!!) Of course the carpet also needs to GO (and we need to re-do our entire downstairs tile flooring), but moving furniture is just easier than home renovations!! Sigh. I have a feeling that 2016 will be the year of “my house is torn up and in shambles”!! YIKES!

Until next time,

Jules
