City Lights

Let’s just say, this morning was NOT GOOD. However I did survive, and I did manage to pull an outfit together…

  1. Cardigan: Kate Spade
  2. Skirt: Kate Spade
  3. Shoes: Sam Edleman

I am thankful today is nearly over. After all, tomorrow is another day!

Until next time,

Jules

Stripes

I must admit, I wanted to do nothing more than hide in my bedroom all day today. However, I hauled myself up and got dressed and took the kids to the mall (EEKS!). I’m sure I looked quite out of place inside Hot Topic…which apparantly is THE store for the 9-16 set. I do not understand…but I sucked it up…..I never went through the “goth” stage, I don’t think I had stepped foot in that store until my oldest teenager became obsessed a few years back! It makes me feel OLD.

  1. Cardigan: Kate Spade (outlet)
  2. Dress: Kate Spade Celina
  3. Belt: Kate Spade
  4. Shoes: Sam Edleman
  5. Handbag: Kate Spade

And no, I didn’t make my bed today….I had grand plans for a nap. Didn’t happen!  I did however find some lovely paperbacks at the book store (yes, I love REAL books still…there is NOTHING like the smell of a book. It’s magical)

I fully admit I chose based on the covers. And the middle one came with an attached ribbon bookmark (and is fantasy at that). I’ll read just about anything (except Twilight and 50 Shades anything), I adore books. As a kid I would read in the car by the headlights of the cars behind us! Why I didn’t have a mini book lamp I don’t know. Many 1am bedtimes are because of a book I HAD to finish. Are you a reader? I estimate I read probably 250 books last year. I re-read them as well. I will notate…I read incredibly fast. Any of the 3 books pictures is about 2-3 hours tops for me to finish.

Also, today is President’s Day! We were all off because of it. Happy day to those who have made our country great. So much sacrifice, and yet WE get the day off for them! Kind of ironic if you think about it.

Until next time,

Jules

Happy Valentine’s Day!

I admit, this week is always INSANE for me. I get very overwhelmed, but in the end I manage to pull it off. This week it was over 40 dozen French Macarons, along with kids, household (people in my house like to eat dinner daily for some bizarre reason!), and other work duties. Whew! My kids are off tomorrow and so I took the day off, perhaps we will FINALLY take down the Christmas trees! Yes, all 3 of my trees are still up. It’s a little ridiculous I guess.

Anyway, some outfit recaps…I embraces the holiday this past week quite a bit! Monday:

  1. Blouse: Flora Nikroos
  2. Skirt: Kate Spade
  3. Shoes: Christian Louboutin
  4. Necklace & Bag: Kate Spade

Tuesday I was home baking, but Wednesday I made up for it by pulling out a serious party dress:

  1. Dress: Kate Spade Roset
  2. Pearls: Thrifted
  3. Shoes: Christian Louboutin

Thursday:

Wait, is that my FACE?! It happens from time to time!!!!

  1. Cardigan & Dress: Kate Spade
  2. Necklaces: Kate Spade
  3. Shoes: a gift…but they came from eBay…some no-name brand. They are so cute!

Friday:

  1. Cardigan & Dress: Kate Spade
  2. Shoes: Jimmy Choo, strassed by me

I later changed into my hazy floral dress to go make cupcakes with my 4th grader…and had a shoe dilemma:

Keeping it real y’all!

Saturday, my husband and I took all the kids out for Valentine’s Day. Our oldest has a little “friend” now, so our normal family plans ON the day were ursurped by kids getting older! I wore this out:

  1. Cardigan: Kate Spade
  2. Dress: Kate Spade Ponte dress in red
  3. Belt: Ted Baker
  4. Necklace: Kate Spade
  5. Shoes: same no-names from Thursday.

Finally, today….I saved this dress for today, I found it last summer and had it altered…I don’t know when/where Kate Spade sold this one, but it’s a showstopper!

Dress & shoes are both Kate Spade. I think I’ve worn enough pink & red for the last week to last a while!
Hope your day was wonderful! Until next time,

Jules

Super Bowl Sunday

Ahhhhhh, my title is very misleading! Why? Because I didn’t watch the big game this year. We actually don’t have proper television (I refuse to chop holes in my house for Verizon), and declined the invites we received due to potential other commitments.

However, I DID score some major deals at the outlets this weekend…which are running through Presidents Day! So get yourself to a Kate Spade outlet, where the entire store is 60% off, with handbags and additional 20% on top of it. My local store had some new transfers from Specialty, and I marked a couple of things off my wish list. However, the majority of my purchases were gifts or for others. But still, GO, provided it doesn’t put you into debt or cut into your grocery bill! They do this sale every year this time of year, and it’s always phenomnal! Also, there’s a surprise sale going on for those of you not near an outlet! Not as good as outlet, but still some serious discounts!

Some attire recaps, starting with today:

  1. Cardigan: Kate Spade (girls collection)
  2. Dress: Kate Spade (from the first clothing collection)
  3. Belt: handmade by me
  4. Shoes: Christian Louboutin
  5. Handbag: Kate Spade

Yesterday:

  1. Cardigan: Kate Spade
  2. Dress: Kate Spade Deanna
  3. Shoes: Christian Louboutin
  4. Handbag: Kate Spade

And lastly, Friday….I was home sick on Thursday, and by Friday needed to GET OUT! So I got gussied up and took my husband and afternoon hot cocoa & cookie (I know, I’m so ridiculous!!)

  1. Cardigan: INC
  2. Dress: Kate Spade Hazy Floral
  3. Shoes: Sophia Webster

I hope your weekend was fabulous, your football team won, and your shopping was successful! My poor Visa card needs a break! I think I’m done for a while…I finally snagged the last of the dresses released in 2015 I wanted, and so far in 2016, there hasn’t been anything I HAVE to have.

Until next time,

Jules

Wednesday

Oh the middle of the week already?! It’s flying by, yet again. Sigh. Today I whipped out a Jillian dress I have not worn yet:

  1. Cardigan: Banana Republic Outlet
  2. Dress: Kate Spade Jillian (unsure if this was a sample? I need to have it taken in a bit)
  3. Shoes: Jimmy Choo
  4. Handbag: Kate Spade

Until next time.

Jules

Groundhog Day

Well, according to the news, it’s going to be an early spring! Although it was cold here today, I’ll believe it when I see it!

Another skirt I am obsessed with right now….this one. Between this and my animal print skirt with the cat sweater, I could leave everything else in my closet untouched!

  1. Cardigan: Banana Republic Outlet
  2. Skirt: Kate Spade
  3. Shoes: Kate Spade
  4. Necklace: Banana Republic Outlet

So what do you think, are we in for an early spring? I’m suspect for sure!

Until next time,

Jules
