Fashion, Food, Desserts, being a 30-something mom is exciting!

I must admit, I wanted to do nothing more than hide in my bedroom all day today. However, I hauled myself up and got dressed and took the kids to the mall (EEKS!). I’m sure I looked quite out of place inside Hot Topic…which apparantly is THE store for the 9-16 set. I do not understand…but I sucked it up…..I never went through the “goth” stage, I don’t think I had stepped foot in that store until my oldest teenager became obsessed a few years back! It makes me feel OLD.

And no, I didn’t make my bed today….I had grand plans for a nap. Didn’t happen!  I did however find some lovely paperbacks at the book store (yes, I love REAL books still…there is NOTHING like the smell of a book. It’s magical)

I fully admit I chose based on the covers. And the middle one came with an attached ribbon bookmark (and is fantasy at that). I’ll read just about anything (except Twilight and 50 Shades anything), I adore books. As a kid I would read in the car by the headlights of the cars behind us! Why I didn’t have a mini book lamp I don’t know. Many 1am bedtimes are because of a book I HAD to finish. Are you a reader? I estimate I read probably 250 books last year. I re-read them as well. I will notate…I read incredibly fast. Any of the 3 books pictures is about 2-3 hours tops for me to finish.

Also, today is President’s Day! We were all off because of it. Happy day to those who have made our country great. So much sacrifice, and yet WE get the day off for them! Kind of ironic if you think about it.

Until next time,

Jules

I don’t think I could turn the pages fast enough to come close to finishing a book in 2 hours! I often won’t start a book sometimes just because I know nothing will get done before I finish it- which takes me a good day to day & a half!!

    • My husband is like that! It drives him bananas that I read so fast. I get totally lost in books too. It’s like I’m IN the book. I even “cast” characters. Lol!!!
