Fashion, Food, Desserts, being a 30-something mom is exciting!

Thursday

Today was ROUGH. It’s been really humid where we live and my arthritis has been, well rather rude about it. So those 5:30am alarms are rude too! But I dragged myself out this morning to a school board meeting at 7am (I highly recommend all parents attend at least one, it gives you a different perspective on what’s going on), and had to look halfway presentable:

  1. Cardigan: Kate Spade
  2. Dress: Kate Spade Liana Dress
  3. Shoes: Christian Louboutin Simples
  4. Necklace: Kate Spade

Of course I did change before going to work this afternoon, as the Liana dress is gorgeous, but my ribs are bugging me again, so I needed something a little looser to run around in all afternoon! So I pulled out this number:

  1. Dress: Kate Spade
  2. Belt: Thrifted
  3. Shoes: Jimmy Choo (I’ve had these since before I started blogging! 4+ years)

I don’t love this dress all that much, but I get so many comments on it when I wear it. It’s got so many options for shoes and belts too, with the hot air balloon colors! My main dislike of it is the fact that it’s incredibly difficult to get on and off. The fabric is also rather heavy and we’ve had such warm weather all year! It was in the mid 70’s today, so I was able to wear it and not be too hot OR need a cardigan! Best part? It has pockets! I am glad I picked it up, I just wish it was easier to put on and take off.

Are you gearing up for Halloween? We have our school fall festival tomorrow night and I am so at a loss for a costume this year!! Any ideas? I am open to suggestions for tomorrow night!

Until next time,

Jules

    • Thanks dear!! I decided upon a flapper, as I’ve not done that for Halloween time before, just production events!! I didn’t snap a photo, but I’ll recreate it! Now something for Halloween next Saturday. Minnie is a good one, I do have plenty of polka dots. Hrmmmn. I skipped it for tonight as I actually did a Disney theme basket for one of the classes! LOL

  2. I love the colors on the balloon dress!! It really is so cute! I ended up taking the green striped short sleeve dress back this year because it was so hard to get on and off… so I totally understand!

    • Oooohhhhh that green stripe was even WORSE than the balloon dress! I’m so bummed too, because the green stripe was so gorgeous!!! They should have made the back buttons actual buttons!!
