Flowers & Stripes

Tuesday is usually a 2-outfit day during cross country season. You know, gotta wear school colors to the meets!

I started in this today:

  1. Cardigan: Kate Spade
  2. Dress: Kate Spade
  3. Shoes: Christian Louboutin

And for the meet this afternoon:

  1. Blouse: Banana Republic Outlet (old)
  2. Skirt: Kate Spade (one of the early clothing collections. I have this in blue & purple too!)
  3. Shoes: Christian Louboutin

Until next time,

Jules

Weekend Review

Another weekend has come and gone. We had an interesting week last week, and I just got consumed in real life instead of virtual life. But I did take SOME photos!

Last Thursday:

  1. Blouse: Anthropologie, but I got it secondhand.
  2. Belt: Old Navy (10+ years old)
  3. Skirt: from a friend
  4. Shoes: Kate Spade

Friday:

  1. Dress: Kate Spade
  2. Belt: came with dress
  3. Shoes: Thrifted
  4. Handbag: Kate Spade

And today:

  1. Dress: Kate Spade
  2. Belt: Kate Spade
  3. Shoes: Kate Spade
  4. Handbag: Kate Spade

I didn’t snap any photo of that gorgeous moon last night, but wasn’t it insane?! I love seeing natures beauty!

Have a wonderful week! Until next time,

Jules

Mid-Week

Halfway through another very crazy busy week! Lots of macarons this week, coupled with my miscalculations, and I had a pile of these:

This was a small pile, I actually ended up with 14 dozen of these cracked half shells! However, I just match them up, fill them with whatever I have, and I offer them for half price in not-so-pretty packaging. And those 13 dozen became 7 dozen “macawrongs” that were snapped up within a couple of hours. Sigh. At least it hit me this afternoon what I did wrong! A simple miscalculation on one of the ingredients in the meringue. Proof that I am only human and often make ridiculous mistakes!

I did pull together a cute outfit yesterday (which I repeated for bible study this evening, with different shoes), for the morning. Afternoon was the first cross country meet and I changed into a bright orange dress with my new blue handbag, school colors! (And didn’t take a photo. OOPS)

  1. Blouse: Forever21, but picked up at Goodwill for $2
  2. Skirt: Kate Spade
  3. Belt: secondhand (under $5)
  4. Shoes: Kate Spade
  5. Handbag: Kate Soade Quinn

And today:

  1. Cardigan: Kate Spade
  2. Dress: Kate Spade Jillian
  3. Shoes: thrifted

My single surprise sale purchase came, and I fully admit I do regret not purchasing the smaller Flamingo bag as well. However, the reality is I didn’t need either one, and this one is way more practical:

I love the size. I really wish my cat maise was this size too, it’s the perfect size! Now she needs a name.

Until next time,

Jules

Weekend Review

Oh. My. Goodness. My weekend was bananas. Our weather has been changing and it has caused intense sinus pressure! Ugh. But rain and cooler weather is coming, so I consider it worth the frustration.

Some recent attire, starting with Friday:

  1. Cardigan: Kate Spade
  2. Dress: Kate Spade Jillian
  3. Shoes: Christian Louboutin
  4. Handbag: Kate Spade

Saturday, to deliver a cake & have a costco date with my husband:

  1. Dress: Kate Spade Marielle (spring 2014, they redid this for the outlets and some still have it on their sale rack!)
  2. Belt: Kate Spade
  3. Shoes: Christian Louboutin
  4. Handbag: Kate Spade

Sunday, for church:

  1. Blouse: Kate Spade
  2. Belt: secondhand
  3. Skirt: Anthropologie
  4. Shoes: Kate Spade

And finally, today:

  1. Blouse: Anthropologie (but I picked up at a thrift store for $1!)
  2. Belt: secondhand
  3. Skirt: Nordstrom Rack, $12
  4. Shoes: Christian Louboutin

And the beautiful cake I delivered on Saturday:

It turned out SO GORGEOUS!!!! And yes, those are sugar flowers!

Until next time,

Jules

Pants?! PANTS?

Why yes, I wore PANTS TODAY. Don’t faint y’all, it does happen from time to time! Hey, it was chilly this morning and I had to make an early morning egg run!

  1. Cardigan: C Wonder (picked up at a secondhand store for $2!)
  2. T-shirt: Banana Republic outlet
  3. Scarf: Kate Spade
  4. Pants: Banana Republic (I love these so much I have two pairs)
  5. Shoes: Christian Louboutin

However, I did change this afternoon to go to the airport to pick up my husband. I figured even though our dinner plans got scratched (major flight delays!), I could still dress up!

  1. Dress: Kate Spade
  2. Shoes: Jimmy Choo

Until next time,

Jules

Dots!!!

Today I had major clothing anxiety. As in, MAJOR CLOTHING ANXIETY! I had picked this out, but my feet are swollen and so the shoes didn’t work (stupid arthritis!):

  1. Cardigan & Skirt: Kate Spade
  2. Shoes: Christian Louboutin

So then I put this on (it was supposed to be windy today)

  1. Cardigan & Skirt: Kate Spade
  2. Shoes: Christian Louboutin

By this point I felt like goldilocks….the shoes were NOT WORKING! So I ended up in this…a good old standby:

  1.  Dress, Cardigan & Bag: Kate Spade
  2. Shoes: Christian Louboutin

However I managed to spill coffee on myself, followed by macaron batter (yes I bake in my clothes…and sometimes I remember to wear an apron!), and so I changed AGAIN to go to bible study tonight:

  1. Cardigan, Skirt & Bag: Kate Spade
  2. Shoes: Christian Louboutin

Okay, so maybe I just wanted to whip out that pretty new blue bag I caved and bought this morning at the outlet. Hey, it’s cross country season and this bag is school spirit wear! (Orange and Blue!!)

Oh and I made tons of these…and will be back at it tomorrow morning (along with a few dozen sugar roses!) as I booked another order for this weekend tonight:

I am officially a French Macaron factory. Yum yum! I was good and didn’t eat them either. We shall see how long that lasts.

Until next time,

Jules

Tuesday

Woah, today was kind of crazy! My husband had to go back east for work, I needed to hit the cake supply store, and so I took him to the airport.

Um, OOPS. Actually it’s probably good I went with him, as I know all the funky back ways to get places, with all the construction on our main highway. But whew! It was rainy and awful both ways. (But we need that rain!!) I actually got to wear a cardigan today though!

  1. Cardigan: Kate Spade (outlet, some still have them on major sale! Of course no more send sales, you have to physically visit the stores now. BOO)
  2. Skirt: Basil & Maude
  3. Shoes: Kate Spade

Don’t forget to check out my blog sale!

Until next time,

Jules
