Oh My!

Thats been my week. “Oh My!”.

Tuesday I wore this:

  1. Blouse: Tahari (thrifted, under $10)
  2. Skirt: secondhand vintage
  3. Belt: Kate Spade
  4. Shoes: Christian Louboutin
  5. Handbag: Kate Spade

Wednesday:

  1. Dress: Hobbs
  2. Belt:  Unknown (secondhand find)
  3. Shoes: Jimmy Choo
  4. Necklace: Banana Republic
  5. Handbag: Kate Spade

Today:

  1. Dress: Alannah Hill
  2. Shoes: Christian Louboutin

Yesterday was my daughter’s birthday:

And today I had to go to LA, so we did our yearly track to American Girl for our mother-daughter birthday lunch:

We visited Kate Spade in Pasadena,

(hello fall 2015!!! I left it behind, it’s adorable, but I have my eye on some pieces later in the year!)

And Sugarfina in Beverly Hills AND Pasadena:

The Pasadena store is such a hidden treasure! I love that it’s tucked away, and also right by Kate Spade!!

I got into some trouble later….I am really REALLY loving SJP shoes! So well made and the arch is PERFECT for my bony bumpy ex-ice skaters feet!

Le sigh. Yes they came home. Under $60, who could say no?! Quick, someone take away my Visa card!

The Paper Bag Princess….my favorite find of the day. Right at Robertson & Olympic in Los Angeles, it’s a unique collection is amazing treasures! The hats! The jewels! The vintage couture Chanel! It’s my new “must see” recommendation for a trip to LA! The costume jewels alone, wowzers! It’s such a gorgeously curated collection too. I did not take any photos, merely enjoyed the beauty of the treasures. Their website for more information.

Until next time,

Jules

Lemons

So I figured the irony of wearing a lemon dress after my weekend was perfect for Monday!

  1. Dress: Kate Spade Kendrick (outlet only here in the U.S. Earlier this year. This one sold out FAST!)
  2. Belt: Kate Spade
  3. Shoes: Kate Spade
  4. Handbag: Kate Spade

And I got another fun swap through Instagram this past weekend! #springfeverswap That’s what I love about Instagram, all the fun connections I have made! Find me on there: @katespadegirlblog

My swap package was soooo appropriate:

The glass lemons from Target!! Unsure where I am going to put them, but am very excited about them!! Maybe on the first piece I refinish from the stash we brought home! Ashlyn of “white after Labor Day” arranges these swaps and hers are the BEST. She really makes them awesome! I’m excited for the next one!

Until next time,

Jules

Weekend in Review

I am home!!! You have no idea how happy I was to see my driveway at 2am this morning! The last hour in the car, my husband and I came really close to stopping. But I pulled out every crazy comment I could think of and kept him awake! Whew!

Some outfit recaps. Thursday I totally repeated what I wore LAST Thursday. Because it doesn’t pull anywhere and we had a 6.5 hour car ride:

  1. Dress: Kate Spade
  2. Belt: Kate Spade
  3. Shoes: Christian Louboutin, strassed by me

Friday, I put this on:

With a white t-shirt and the same black belt from the day before (I packed light y’all. It’s a miracle!!) Skirt is Madison Avenue.

Yesterday I wore this:

  1. Dress: Kate Spade Sonja in Navy
  2. Belt: Target (little girls’ section)
  3. Shoes: Christian Louboutin
  4. Handbag: Kate Spade

See, I packed two pairs of shoes for this trip…my Alexandrite AB flats and a pair of flats for “working”. We went to handle my husband’s childhood home, and put it on the market for sale. I gave myself a new title “Jules the Picker”. I spent two days rummaging through 1600sqft of antiques, papers, bills, photos, glassware, dishes, etc. It was INSANE. But we got the things my husband wanted (and some glassware no one wanted, I intend to repurpose it), and we made it. Oh and my car towed a 12″ uhaul container beautifully!

She even had a big birthday just east of Tehachapi:

140,000 miles! I’m taking her in for a big spa day this week.

We did leave the house today and I tossed on this shift dress that is oh-so-comfortable:

  1. Dress: Kate Spade
  2. Shoes: Kate Spade (finally wore these!!)
  3. Handbag: Kate Spade

And a few fun photos from our travels….we were in Sonora & Angel’s Camp, about 2 hours east of Sacremento. So beautiful up there!!!!

We stayed with a cousin and they set up their motor home for the kids…of course now the kids want to buy one! We are considering a rental and a road trip next summer, but I don’t want to own the size RV we would need with a family of 6. That’s just too much!

Party bus! So fun. I’m glad we got it done, the kids had a blast, and we made it home safe. Now we have just a week to prepare for back to school AND my daughter birthday is also this week. Going to be a busy one!!

Until next time,

Jules

Wednesday, Wednesday

So I started today in this…but it was pulling strange on my shoulders/chest, so I did change. Acupuncture IS helping, it’s just a slow slow process to heal from that stupid accident!!!

  1. Dress: Trina Turk (sample sale piece)
  2. Shoes: Kate Spade

What I actually wore all day (okay until 2pm when I got home and took a nap)

  1.  Dress: Kate Spade
  2. Belt: Anthropologie
  3. Shoes: Kate Spade

Sophia gained a sister today:

And Eugene is pouting with some of my sparkly shoes:

I know. I know. We shall leave it at that!

Until next time,

Jules

Tuesday

What I had thought was a calm week has just been turned upside down! But I’m attacking it with cute clothes!!

  1. Dress: Kate Spade Celina in Black & Cream
  2. Belt: Kate Spade
  3. Shoes: Christian Louboutin
  4. Handbag: Kate Spade

I’m really dragging today, luckily I have an appointment with my new acupuncturist tomorrow, and she is magical!! I am hoping to hit the outlet this week, a little birdie told me the newest collection for outlet hit stores over the last few days and it’s rumored to be simply adorable! Have you seen it yet??

Until next time,

Jules

Crazy Town

How else can I describe the past weekend?! Let me start with what I wore last Wednesday, when I popped into Orange County:

  1. Shirt: Banana Republic Outlet
  2. Belt: Target
  3. Skirt: Kate Spade Madison Avenue
  4. Shoes: Christian Louboutin
  5. Handbag: Kate Spade

I tried on some dresses:

why yes, I do believe I want them both! Although the butterfly print one runs a little large (if you were wondering)
Thursday, which was really my “Friday”

  1. Dress: Kate Spade
  2. Belt: Old Navy (old!)
  3. Shoes: Christian Louboutin, strassed by me
  4. Patches: acupuncture (which has been a lifesaver!!!)

And Friday. I hauled my crew out of bed at 4:30am and we hit Disneyland for the 60th anniversary!!!

We had A BALL. 16 hours, and we were EXHAUSTED. Kids rode so many things and ate TONS of cupcakes! (They baked over 100,000 cupcakes to pass out!!)

I am thankful we decided to stay down there, as the big “North Fire” on the I-15 freeway would have prevented me from getting home (we made international news!!) Saturday we were in rainy Los Angeles (and I didn’t take many photos!) to see a friend of mine.

Here’s my outfits from Friday & Saturday:

  1. Dress: Kate Spade (Shanghai collection)
  2. Belt: Ted Baker
  3. Shoes: Christian Louboutin, strassed in Alexandrite AB
  4. Handbag: Kate Spade

  1. Dress: Kate Spade
  2. Shoes: Christian Louboutin
  3. Handbag: Kate Spade

Oh, that’s right, meet Sophia:

She just might be Eugene’s soul mate.  Although she likes to bat him around. Hrmmmm. Isn’t she ADORABLE?! Don’t wait if you want this bag ladies, I think it will sell out quickly!!!!!
And finally, today, this dreary Monday needed some colour!!!

  1. Dress: Kate Spade
  2. Belt: Kate Spade
  3. Shoes: Christian Louboutin
  4. Handbag: Kate Spade

I know, I have issues. But all these cute character bags!! The entire “Cat’s Meow” collection is adorable, I’m loving all of it! For now though, I am on a wee bit of a shopping ban. Or I SHOULD be! Of course the kids go back to school in two weeks from today, so I get to shop for them!!!

Until next time,

Jules
