Fashion, Food, Desserts, being a 30-something mom is exciting!

Archive for April, 2015

Well I had intended to post my outfits for today. However I discovered tonight that there is a scammer on Instagram attempting to fleece Lilly Pulitzer fans out of their hard-acquired Target finds.

So if you sent this person (who uses the name Elle Peterson and an address in Tampa, FL) a package, please check your tracking and see if you can recall your item! If you paypaled her? No advice there, I just hope you stay on her!!

I know I sold a ton of Lilly for Target stuff last week, but I was super aware, everything went with tracking numbers and I’ve been in communication with any gals who have contacted me. I’m pretty easy to get ahold of (shoot if we emailed you probably have my phone number and business name!!!) It would not have even occurred to me to attempt to scam anyone in this day and age.

The internet are circling around you Elle Peterson. I will be initiating further investigation tomorrow morning. Good luck to anyone who got scammed by her!

I will resume normal blogging tomorrow…tonight I’m using it as a platform!

Until next time,

This afternoon I took myself out. To the movie theatre. For the first time in 6 years! (Alone that is….I mean we watch/screen movies all the time…but going to a theatre alone?! Unheard of!!) I have been dying to see Cinderella, but decided to see Age of Adeline instead. It was a beautiful film. The clothing alone made my heart happy!!! I felt under dresses! It was brilliant, just a beautiful film.

I wore this:

  1. Dress: Kate Spade (Monaco collection, 2014)
  2. Belt: Kate Spade
  3. Necklace: Banana Republic
  4. Shoes: Christian Louboutin

However I had started the day in this:

  1. Dress: Kate Spade
  2. Shoes: Lilly Pulitzer for Target

A good day. I even have a proper dinner plan. I may actually be organized by the time the kids go on summer break!!! Oh, and check your Kate Spade outlets….apparel and clearance handbag have gone on 50% markdown!!! (Yay!)

Until next time,

Monday Monday

Oh Monday, let me count the ways. Can I just say I was happy for Monday? The anticipation of a fresh week, all those Lilly packages sent on their merry way, and just back to “business as usual” after nearly a month of very wonky schedules!

Saturday we had an early morning errand, and so I whipped out some mad bright color:

  1. Cardigan: Kate Spade (one of 3 identical cardigans in different colors I picked up during friends & family weekend)
  2. Skirt: thrifted, but I think it’s an Anthropologie brand
  3. Shoes: Christian Louboutin

After the errand, I confess to spending my afternoon napping. I haven’t been feeling so hot lately, I think our strange weather patterns is really affecting my arthritis!

Sunday, for church:

  1. Cardigan: Kate Spade (off eBay)
  2. Dress: Kate Spade Charleen in black (I have it in blue too, haven’t worn it yet!)
  3. Shoes: Kate Spade
  4. Handbag: Kate Spade

Took a drive to the outlets:

Lots of bright springy items!

And today I wore this:

  1. Cardigan: Kate Spade
  2. Dress: Kate Spade Jillian
  3. Shoes: Christian Louboutin

And with that, Monday, I put you to bed.

Until next time,

P.S. Please kindly remember all my posted photos are copyrighted and owned by me. I appreciate you not using them without crediting back to my blog. Thank you!

Its Friday! It’s been a crazy week….mostlyof my own making, being as I jumped on the Lilly for Target bandwagon. As of tonight I have assembled and shipped (or prepped to ship) over 60 packages, items going all over the U.S.!! It was so much fun working with gals to find them what they were looking for, and “meeting” new people who have a passion for bright florals!! I did not clean out any Target I went too….mainly bought what was requested on Instagram, and a few extras that were snapped up rather quickly! Anyway, I think it’s about over…my targets have “restocked” a few times (I suspect they just didn’t put everything out in the beginning), and I’ve spread lots of Lilly love, and supported the USPS quite a bit as well!!

What I wore yesterday:

  1. Cardigan: Kate Spade
  2. Dress: Kate Spade
  3. Belt: Old Navy
  4. Shoes: Christian Louboutin, Strassed by me
  5. Handbag: Kate Spade

Today I started in this (and then the wind picked up!!) wearing the ONE Lilly for Target item I wanted (I was blessed to trade for it!)

  1. Cardigan: Kate Spade
  2. Dress: Kate Spade
  3. Shoes: Lilly Pulitzer for Target

I was soooo excited to get these! They are decent quality, but the cuteness makes up for lack of quality!!

I ended the day in this:

  1. Cardigan: Kate Spade
  2. Skirt: Vintage
  3. Shoes: Kate Spade

I am in LOVE with this blush pink cardigan! The buttons are gorgeous, and it’s blush pink, one of my absolute favorite colours right now.

And this arrived today:

Squee!!!! I bought a 0, and while a 00 would probably have been better, for getting it on and off, I’m glad I sized up. I’ve gone back and forth about this one for months, I’m glad I pulled the trigger. (And thank you Saks for your friends & family sale!!)

With that, I’m off to bed. Early start and the super insane gusty wind has triggered a migraine. Or maybe it’s all the emailing about Lilly Pulitzer!! Have a wonderful weekend!

Until next time,

Oh my, it’s been a week!! I have been caught up in buying loads of Lilly for Target goods for various Instagram ladies! And making a couple hundred French Macarons!

Yesterday I wore this:

  1. Cardigan: Kate Spade (currently available at outlets!)
  2. Top: Banana Republic
  3. Skirt: Vintage
  4. Belt: Target
  5. Shoes: Christian Louboutin

And today, inspired by all the Lilly pieces being shipped to Florida!

  1. Cardigan: Ross
  2. Skirt: Basil & Maude (off eBay…like 3 years ago?!)
  3. Shoes: Christian Louboutin, Strassed by me with Green Tourmaline stones
  4. Handbag & Fob: Kate Spade

Lots of these:

Hope your week is going grand! Until next time,

Oh my goodness, did you get caught up in the Lilly Pulitzer for Target frenzy?! I didn’t mean too…I just happened to see it, and then it snowballed into buying tons of stuff for ladies all over the country who couldn’t get what they wanted because of the crazy eBay re-sellers!!! Total insanity!!! It’s a cute line, and I did manage to trade some pieces I purchased for the pineapple sandals I had my eye on, so I’m thrilled. But I am soooo tempted to keep this bag for myself:

However, I don’t NEED it. If your looking for this bag, shoot me an email…I’ll hang on to t for a week or so, and then return it if no one wants it. I have a couple of scarves & cosmetic case too:  (The headband is spoken for….but the two scarves, cosmetic case, and large pink bag, I have those. Shoot me an email: Katespadegirlblog at gmail. Happy to ship overseas as well)

What I wore yesterday to church:

  1. Dress: Kate Spade (super duper outlet steal! Under $70)
  2. Belt: JCrew, off eBay
  3. Shoes: Christian Louboutin (secondhand site. After missing out on a pair on eBay, these popped up on one of the secondhand sites I stalk…I was SO excited!!)
  4. Bracelet: Kate Spade

And today:

  1. Cardigan: Kate Spade (outlet)
  2. Top: Old Navy (thrifted)
  3. Belt: JCrew
  4. Skirt: Dress Corilynn
  5. Shoes: Christian Louboutin, strassed by me
  6. Handbag: Kate Spade

Here’s to a great week! Lots of baking for me this week!

Until next time,

Today ended on a note I hope to not repeat anytime soon! Let me just say, I am very happy to see the end of this week!!

My outfit to deliver a cake:

  1. Cardigan: Kate Spade
  2. Dress: Kate Spade Jillian Dress
  3. Shoes: Christian Louboutin

And this gorgeous blush pink sweater arrived today, a perfect match to the wristlet I picked up in Vegas last weekend:

And the cake I finished and delivered…everything is edible!

Soooo cute, right?! Anyway, here’s to tomorrow being the start of a new week, and being much better!

Until next time,
