Fashion, Food, Desserts, being a 30-something mom is exciting!

Monday, We Meet Again

Let me start by saying, I HAD THE CRAZIEST WEEKEND EVER!!!!

But first I should recap Friday. I never posted my outfit because I had a second one, but never took a proper photo as I was trying to rest as well. Here’s my outfit for Friday day:

Sweater: secondhand, from Its a Wrap (it’s cashmere, but the brand label is cut out)
Skirt: Kate Spade
Shoes: Kate Spade
Necklace: Kenneth Jay Lane

I took Rajah out for a spin Friday night:

My dress is the navy Roset dress with the embellished collar. Shoes are Christian Louboutin.

And of course Rajah the tiger!!!

Saturday saw me getting up and driving down to Disneyland for a 3am check in. Why you ask? Well, I volunteered to work the Star Wars Half Marathon weekend. It was CRAZY!!! Saturday was the 10k, and I was in the “medal corral” (the security around the medals is nuts!!!!). Some photos:

I didn’t actually hand out medals, I choose to play “security”. It was really fun, and I met some cool people! It was COLD THOUGH!!!! After the race I caught up with a friend of mine who ran and we had a VERY early lunch at Earl of Sandwich (how had I missed this place before?!):

Yummy. Now I get the hype!!! I didn’t actually go to the parks on Saturday, I was running on too little sleep, and had also agreed to watch my “niece”, so I headed down to Long Beach to spend the afternoon/evening with my best friends daughter (people usually assume we are related and so we tend to go with it. The reality is far more complicated!!)

Sunday I had a 3:30am call time. My shift for the Half Marathon morning was the post race water station. We stacked a TON of water:

12,000 runners. We unloaded, stacked and passed out probably 12,000-13,000 bottles of water & powerade. It was insane. The runners were amazing (I don’t run, and have never been to this type of event, it was AMAZING!!), even after running those 13 miles, they greeted us with smiles and thank yous!!

I’ve never volunteered for something like this before, but I enjoyed it immensely. My husband and I plan on working together next time. I would like to have my kiddos actually run a Disney 10k at some point, I think they would really enjoy it. After my shift I changed clothing and headed into the park to grab lunch with a friend and see the Aladdin show:

Yes, I totally threw on my Roset dress and ran around Disneyland. Why not?! I didn’t take any other photos, but I will say the Aladdin cast was ON FIRE yesterday! I didn’t explore the Frozen mania, but the transformation in California Adventure is pretty amazing!!!

And then today, a day off for my kids, but I had an appointment to work out my neck problems (yay!), and a run to the dentist to address my ongoing tooth problem. (Sigh) I did get photos today!

Cardigan: Boden
Dress: Kate Spade
Belt: Kate Spade
Shoes: Light Siam Jimmy Choo Flats

I hope your weekend was as fun-filled as mine. I’m still pretty tired, but I slept 11 hours last night and it was wonderful!!!

Until next time,
