Fashion, Food, Desserts, being a 30-something mom is exciting!

January oh January

It sort of feels like January. It was 20-something degrees out this morning, but it looks soooo warm outside! We went out (as a family, oh boy) this morning to run some errands. First let me say I was not feeling well after Christmas, and then very early yesterday morning I pulled something in my back, and my sciatica is in agony (um, and here I thought that was a pregnancy only thing, WRONG!!). Let me just say, aching throbbing pulled back muscle + sciatica + teen driver = WHIPLASH! (I kid you not!!)

Le sigh. At least I looked cute today, although I admit I was cold whenever we got out of the car!!

Cardigan: Neiman Marcus (it’s cashmere, so it’s warm)
Dress: Kate Spade
Belt: Target
Shoes: Kate Spade

I did have a coat and scarf, but the car was so warm, as was every place we went, I merely used my coat as a lap/security blanket in the car. Proof:

Teen driver, this is one of the most stressful experiences in my life, and let me tell you, I have stories that would curl your hair!!! I think what makes it even more stressful is that it is NOT a temporary thing, it’s ongoing for the rest of your kids’ life. And I have 3 more after this one!!!

Luckily there was a visit from my favorite fedex driver, with this being delivered:

Yes, “no shop January” has officially started, but luckily I have a few more end of December purchases that will be arriving over the next couple of weeks to tide me over. Two days down, only 29 more to go! I also want to take the time to really clean out my closet this month and get rid of stuff. The time has come. I mean, how many Kate Spade dresses do I need?! (Don’t answer that!!)

Any January “challenges” for you?

Until next time,

Jules

You can never have too many kate spade dresses or kate spade anything. I still don’t own any of the dresses yet (not on my price range) but I found a pair of ks leggings yesterday from TJ Maxx and I got the all wrapped up large bow ring for 20 bucks at the rack!!

I’m trying not to shop too. The struggle is real.

What us your eBay site? I would love to look at it.

Your closet looks like a kate spade store.

Happy New Year! I love your blog still. I need to update mine so bad!

    • Shoot me an email and i will share my ebay name. 🙂 not keen on it being that public ya know!!!

You will get a Ks dress, its only a matter of time!!! Being a grown up isnt easy when you first start out. Trust me, I was a Marshalls/Ross MAJOR sale shopper when i was your age!! Only had a few nice bags. Takes time to build a collection. And now we are just in a really good place financially, so splurging on a $300 dress is possible. 😉 (i still like the $50 finds though!!!!)

Our Nordstrom Rack had a lot of ks things yesterday! I tried on some of the dresses for the first time but only one of them fit (it was a sweater dress-the grey and pink leopard one). Didn’t get it…yet haha!
