Today was the end of my wonderful week driving my “Cinderella Carriage”. So sad! My husband and I got up early this morning and made the trek down to the dealership to pick up our cars that had been in for repair the past week. And I said goodbye to this:
Right color, right interior, it was a tragedy!!!! Oh well. One must buy dresses and feed children, not another car we don’t need! However, I did dress rather somber for the sad sad occasion:
Dress: Kate Spade
Belt: Kate Spade
Shoes: Christian Louboutin
I ran out this afternoon to have my aching neck worked on (ugh!), and made a stop at Goodwill. They have recently changed their discount/pricing structure, each week there are 4 tag colors on sale, two are 75%, one is 50%, and the last is 20%. Which means it’s quite easy to find a dress for $2.50! I scored a cashmere sweater for $1.75 and a NWT Target girls dress for my daughter for $1. Not bad! Doesn’t quite make up for the major expenditure this morning on car repairs, but it’s a nice surprise!
Hope your weekend is going grand! Tomorrow we celebrate my oldest turning 15 (WHAT?! He will be driving in a year!!), and my second child turning 12. Yes, they share a birthday! Crazy, right? No big plans, just a small party (they requested a Baskin-Robbins ice cream cake. Yes, I ordered a cake!), as we took them out to dinner last night as well as a night of mini golf, go-karts, and crazy rides at a local spot. I imagine next year will be some big celebrations. I’m secretly glad it’s low-key this year!
Until next time,
