Valentine’s Day Part 2
Well, it’s now the 15th and Valentine’s Day 2014 is sadly over. But it was fabulous!
Today I ran a million errands, deliveries, and threw together another batch of French macarons. Chocolate with chocolate ganache and chocolate with mint buttercream:
What I wore for these shenanigans: (btw, it was 86 degrees out today!!)
Blouse: Nanette Lepore
Skirt: Saks Fifth Avenue (vintage, thrifted)
Shoes: Jimmy Choo Strassed in Light Siam crystals
And my dress dilemma? I scored today! A local consignment shop is closing, so I walked in on a whim. All dresses were $10. I found this number:
It’s a Jessica McClintock, and someone had altered it. It fit like a GLOVE!! And to top it off? They had added crystals to the dress. I mean, hello?! Is that a match made in fashion heaven or what?? Especially as the AFJROTC kids have dubbed me “General Sparkles”.
And so I totally rocked it:
With my husband, in dress blues. Gotta love having my very own officer as an arm accessory!!! (Okay, former Naval Officer, but still. The uniform ROCKS) I wore my crystal AB strass Louboutin Simples. Perfection!!
I hope you had a wonderful day yourself! Off to the next event tomorrow, an 80th birthday party for one of my grandmothers!! I made lots of cookies and I know my mom will present a beautiful spread. Plus we get to visit Palm Springs, which means (hopefully!!) a stop at the Kate Spade outlet in Cabazon!
Until next time,
