Fashion, Food, Desserts, being a 30-something mom is exciting!

Goodbye 2013, Hello 2014!!!

Sitting here this evening, still trying to recover from far too much Christmas cheer, I must reflect upon the past year. Along with my furry friend:

Kitty and I are hiding out in the office (on my lovely new couch), the kids are writing down their goals for 2014, my husband is planning the budget (ew!!), and me, well, I’m rocking my tiara and watching BBC shows on my iPad. Slathered in Vicks and praying that my coughing fits end at midnight. For, shouldn’t a new year be fresh and shiny?! (If only!!)

My last two ensembles of 2013, starting with yesterday:

Along with my pj pants, my iPad and my stuffed animal. I know, so not very fabulous this evening!

2013 overall wasn’t the worst year, quite a bit of loss, it does make one feel old when grandparents pass away. In some ways it was a good year in the fact that family-wise we had some good moments and a wonderful holiday season that just passed. My car is paid off, and I have acquired far too many clothing & shoe items!

My biggest resolve for 2014 is to make an attempt to shop less. I’m toying with taking the eBay app off my phone to encourage less spending. It’s not the money, it’s more that I have too much stuff, and really need to unload some things before buying more. I mean, really, I have over 80 skirts, so I need that many?! So 2014 is going to be the year of streamlining my wardrobe and personally, to start a proper workout regime. (Eek!!) And as always, to be a better wife & mother.

With that, 2013, I leave you behind. Thanks for the memories, the Disneyland trip, and the fantabulous experiences. It was grand. But I’m tray for 2014, and I welcome the future with open arms!

Happy New Year!!!

Jules
