Trending: Grey Christian Louboutin Simple Heels

Yes, I fear I have been rather Unimaginative this past week when it comes to my shoe choices! But alas, when a shoe is so comfortable you can run all day and not have aching feet that night?

Well, let’s just say I know what is on my 2014 wish lists!!!!

Anyway, a recap of the past week (ish) and poor shoe choices:

Last Friday:

Cardigan: Kate Spade
Blouse: Banana Republic
Skirt: Banana Republic
Shoes: Kate Spade (which are sadly too big and have found a new home with a friend of mine)

Church on Sunday saw this sunny ensemble:

Cardigan: American Eagle (Thrifted)
Skirt: Escada (Thrifted)
Shoes: Christian Loubouton Simples
Handbag: Coach

I believe this was Monday:

Cardigan: Kate Spade
Blouse: Banana Republic
Skirt: Shabby Apple
Belt & Necklace: Kate Spade
Shoes: Christian Louboutin Simples

*I neglected to snap a photo on Tuesday of my entire outfit, however, a shoe shot from a costco trip:

Yup, same shoes!!!!

Wednesday saw me in pants and a polka dot sweater, and black flats, alas, no photograph. Between fighting allergies, searching for new glasses (as I broke mine last week, and am frantically searching for an equally cute AND practical replacement pair) and making pies, well, I scrambled into PJ’s before any photographic evidence could be made.

I did however snap some rather lackluster photos last night of what I wore yesterday:

Cardigan: Ann Taylor
Dress: Kate Spade
Belt: The Cute and Sparkly Wife
Shoes: Christian Louboutin Simples

And lastly, today, proof that out of the last 6 days I have worn the same shoes 5 times. But I LOVE them!!! (I also appear to have a slight obsession with navy and yellow right now!)

Cardigan: American Eagle
Blouse: unknown, silk (eBay)
Skirt: Anthropologie (but secondhand from Its A Wrap in Hollywood)
Belt: Vintage (.50 @ a thrift shop)
Shoes: Christian Louboutin Simples

I also have an obsession with pie right now, specifically Raspberry!!

And rainy overcast weather:

Hope you have wonderful weekend!!

Until next time,

A Recap

It’s been one of those weeks. I fought (and won!) an illness that loomed over me last weekend, made rainbow cupcakes, bought more useless stuff (eeks!), attended a funeral of a friend who passed suddenly, and wished my baby sister Bon voyage.

Yeah, it’s been crazy!!

The cake & cupcakes & candy bar for a dear friend of mine’s daughter last Saturday:

Hey, every little girl needs a magical birthday in her lifetime. I was blessed to be able to bless this darling little girl with something quite spectacular! (The cake & candy bar was part of her birthday present, along with a princess Barbie) I’m all for paying it forward when I can.

Some outfits from this last week:

Cardigan: Julie’s Closet (Thrifted by a friend)
Skirt: Alfani, Thrifted
Shoes: Kate Spade
Handbag: Kate Spade

Jacket: Target
Blouse: Kate Spade
Skirt: Vintage
Shoes: Christian Louboutin Navy Simples

Jacket: Target
Blouse: Kohls
Skirt: Vintage, Saks Fifth Avenue
Shoes: Christian Louboutin Simples
(This was worn to the funeral I attended yesterday)

And lastly, my outfit today:

Cardigan: Target
Blouse: Nanette Lepore
Skirt: Vintage Saks Fifth Avenue (yes, also worn yesterday!)
Shoes: Strassed Jimmy Choo Flats

And then of course what I bring to bible study “just because”:

I was super proud, I made those yesterday morning, and every cookie came out perfect! I suppose I shall have to find a new pastry item to master. Perhaps cheesecakes? Okay, maybe not…..I do enjoy making macarons more than anything else these days, it’s very calming, perhaps because you have to be so precise with it! I actually made them for the small get together I hosted yesterday at my house for my baby sister, who is spreading her wings and flying off to the east coast in search of adventure and fortune! I wish her the best.

And know that soon I will have a really awesome excuse to HAVE to visit NYC very very soon!!! Hello Manhattan, I’ll be there to visit! I am compiling a list of Broadway shows to see. Now to master the schedule to make it happen. Hmmmm.

Until next time,

Today was a day where I couldn’t decide on WHAT to wear, as the weather changed from 34 degrees at 7:30am to nearly 80 by lunchtime!

I started with this:

Cardigan: Ann Taylor
Blouse: Kate Spade
Skirt: Thrifted
Shoes: Christian Louboutin Simples
Handbag: Kate Spade

And then it warmed up. And I found this amazing skirt at goodwill, so I changed:

Cardigan: Target
Skirt: Thrifted
Shoes & Handbag: same as above

And THEN, I changed BACK into what I had on to begin with, why you ask?! It got cold again!!! Okay, and the new skirt was bugging me. (Have to cut the tags out and sew some binding on so it doesn’t scratch)

So there ya go. Tonight I’m making a cake for a very special young lady. I’m kind of excited!

Until next time,

Navy & Green

Today I had a very full schedule, yet I still managed to find time to change twice!!!

I started this morning with this:

Cardigan: Banana Republic Cashmere cardigan (off eBay!)
Skirt: Banana Republic
Shoes: Montana Strass Christian Louboutin
Handbag: Kate Spade

And then to deliver pizza and cookie for the cross country team party, I changed into this (as the temperature had gone from 34 degrees to 76 degrees!)

Cardigan: from Ross
Skirt: Kate Spade
Shoes & Handbag: same

The cookies I made, salted chocolate chip and sugar cookies:

They were oh-so-yummy. About 50-ish kids devoured over 300 cookies!!! Tomorrow I will commence baking rainbow cupcakes for a friend of mine’s daughters birthday party. I am wondering when all this sugar and sweetness will rub off on my disposition!

Until next time,

Spots! Spots I Say!!

Totally rocking my new (Thrifted!!) polka dot cardigan this morning:

Cardigan: American Eagle (Thrifted)
Blouse: Unknown (from It’s a Wrap)
Skirt: Vintage (also from Its a Wrap)
Shoes: Christian Louboutin Simple
Handbag: Kate Spade Maryann

I just have on my normal Omega watch (that I bought for my husband as an engagement gift, but swiped it and now wear it!), diamond earrings & pendant and my wedding rings. My joints have been touchy lately, so I’ve been staying away from big jewelry.

On a side note, my boss has the most adorable puppies (I am SO not a dog person usually!!), and while I’m sitting here I convinced them to pose:

Hey, I bring them all their food and treats, they should love me!

Back to work!

Until next time,

Seeing Red

Happy Tuesday! It’s off to work for me (okay, I’m blogging from the conference table, shhhhhhh).

Cardigan: Banana Republic
Dress: Ann Taylor (Thrifted for $4)
Shoes: Christian Louboutin Simple

I don’t normally wear a sweater over a dress, but hey, why not? Always trying to find new ways to wear half the stuff I never wear in my closet.

Two adorable cardigans I snagged at goodwill yesterday:

The black one is vintage, I washed it and it came out beautifully. Excited to style it! The polka dot one is American Eagle, not a brand I would normally buy, but it was oh-so-cute and new with tags. Now it needs to warm up so I can wear it!!

And the raspberry pie I made last night (from scratch, including the filling, it was AMAZING!!!!!)

Hope your Tuesday is fabulous, it’s back to paperwork for me!

Until next time,

Monday Blues

Er, perhaps that should be greens! But I’m really not blue today, it just sounded like a fun title.

My outfit today:

Cardigan: Ann Taylor
Dress: Reproduction from Twilight
Shoes: Christian Louboutin Decolette

And yesterday I repeated my Saturday afternoon “stay home and bake” outfit:

Cardigan: Chaps
Dress: Kate Spade (isn’t is freaking ADORABLE?!)
Shoes: Christian Louboutin Simple

I figured I didn’t go anywhere Saturday evening, so I threw it back on again on Sunday to run some errands. And bake. (Only me!)

Some of my recent escapades:

I tore my closet apart looking for a skirt I may or may not have owned once:

Did not find missing mythical skirt (I even scoured my photos and blog, so perhaps I dreamed it?! Hrm!!!), but I did clean my cardigans & shoes up:

Of course it is temporary. Within a month or so, the chaos will be back. Sigh.

I also made some baked goods this weekend:

And shipped a TON of goodies out this morning, from sparkly shoes to sparkly cookies, these packages will (hopefully!) bring joy and enhance the recipient’s lives.

Yes, I am acutely aware of how utterly ridiculous I am! Kids are all on half day this week, so I figure I will be a little crazier than normal. Tomorrow I’ll share some of my thrift finds from this morning! Super score! (Things are being laundered, so photographs are not possible at this moment)

Until next time,
