Fashion, Food, Desserts, being a 30-something mom is exciting!

Business Professional

Well, I am proud to say, I have this far resisted the Kate Spade Sample Sale. Not for the lack of spending quite a block of time browsing it though! But as I debated on IF I should add the few lovelies into my cart and hit “checkout”, I paused, and stopped. Then spent the next 30 minutes talking myself out of it.

I was successful. This time! I have 22 more days to go!! Eeks!

Today I have to go do some personal business that requires a business professional, yet understated ensemble. It’s a day like today that I understand why Martha Stewart paints the soles of her Christian Louboutins black!!

Cardigan: Banana Republic
Skirt: St John, thrifted for $2.50 (such an exciting find!!!!)
Shoes: Christian Louboutin
Handbag: Kate Spade
Stockings: Calvin Klein

The detail on my cardigan:

And my wacky attempts to snap was are called “mod shots” of my shoes. I won’t even try to explain the contortion that goes on to attempt these!! (It is rather humorous!)

My oh my, the carpet really is quite vile. I want to rip it out, but wood is just as difficult to maintain with half a football team in the house! Perhaps a sealed concrete. Oh the possibilities!!

Have a lovely Wednesday! Can you believe next week is Valentine’s Day? This year is flying!!!!!

Until next time,

Jules

  1. WOW, what a find on that skirt! That is a lovely piece. And does Martha really do that? Too funny.

    • I know, super crazy find!!! Our local Goodwill can sometimes be a treasure trove. Where I live, “labels” aren’t well known. The “labels” here are: Juicy Couture, DG, Vans, kind of the punk/skater look. So weird.

And yes, Martha does paint the soles black!! Article from last October:

Blew my mind! But after thinking about it, I kind of understood. I buy CL because they are comfortable and I can wear them all day. I am always careful with me heels and that red sole depending on what I’m doing that particular day. A few of my flats are resoled with black rubber. It doesn’t bother me, as I still know my feet aren’t going to hurt after a long day!!

Crazy world, eh? Thanks for stopping by my blog!!

      ❤ Jules

      • Ahh, so funny–shopping where other people don’t know all the labels definitely puts you at an advantage for bargains.

        Have a good one.
