A whole lot of Crazy
I’ve put together quite a unique blend of colors today, but I quite like it, crazy a it sounds! We have special aprons for bible study (I serve on the hospitality team), so this is my attempt to match them this morning!
Cardigan: Target, $7 (I love waiting for their cardigans to go on sale! I scored yesterday!)
Blouse: Kate Spade
Skirt: Kate Spade
Belt: from my Lela Rose for Target dress
Shoes: Strassed Jimmy Choo flats
Necklace: Banana Republic
Watch: Omega Seamaster (vintage)
Handbag: Kate Spade
My necklace with the detail on my blouse:
And for fun, the manicure I have myself last night! I use the gelish polishes, with the light and all that. Over Christmas I put crystals on my daughters nails, but I used glue. I got the great idea last night to cure the crystals right into the top coat! It worked marvelously!!
And for those who don’t follow me on Instagram (katespadegirl), here’s my fun I had yesterday!
First, macawrongs. I tried a new recipe, the one from Bouchon. Sorry, but Chez Jules kicks it’s patootie!:
But I thought I’d give it a second try, just in case it was user error. The second batch? I call these “macamoons”:
They still taste amazing, so it’s not a total loss. Luckily my friends at bible study love them no matter how they look!
But finally, reverting back to MY recipe (through lots of trial and error last year!), I had a 95% success rate! My perfect footed Macarons:
Mmmmm. I was jumping up and down in excitement last night! It’s always unknown with these cookies. I’ve been baking since I was a teenager, and I have never encountered such a fussy little cookie. But they are worth the effort and heartache.
So yes, I had tea and almond Macarons for breakfast. Yummy yummy!!
Until next time,
