Fashion, Food, Desserts, being a 30-something mom is exciting!

Archive for November, 2012

The weather is changing, but until it does officially, I’m going to dress in denial!

Cardigan: Target
Top: Calypso for Target
Skirt: from a friend
Belt: Thrifted
Shoes: Strassed Nina Jellies

A shot of my shoes:

The only problem with jellies is, when it’s cold they cut into my feet! But I’m going to wear them anyway today! Isn’t that what the heater in the car is for?

Have a lovely day!

Until next time,

Assistant Day

I have a small little job, working as a personal assistant for a gal. I love it! It’s always fun to “dress” the part. For the “office”. Today was some reorganizing type stuff, filing, etc.

Cardigan: Banana Republic Outlet
Blouse: Banana Republic Outlet
Skirt: Escada (thrifted)
Shoes: Christian Louboutin
Handbag(not pictured): Kate Spade, my green cross body. (Great for running!)

Did you see Kate Spade’s surprise sale? For Cyber Monday? It was extended to tonight. I looked, but didn’t see anything. In fact, I didn’t buy anything in the sales yesterday!

Have a lovely week! I’m working on an exciting giveaway for the holiday, stay tuned!

Until next time,

Monday Monday!

Did you have a good Thanksgiving? I totally forgot to snap a photograph, I really loved my outfit though! Lots of sparkle!

In the meantime, I took on some projects this past weekend!

And now to prepare for Christmas! The tree goes up tonight, and it’s time to start wrapping presents. I only have one more to buy!

Until next time,

A Few Thoughts

To recap the past week or so, a few outfit shots, and some project shots! I’m excited for the Thanksgiving break, some down time to craft.

Sorry in advance for the less than stellar photographs.

You can’t see it very well, but I’m wearing:
Jacket: Merona from Target (such a Chanel-esq shape/style!)
Brooch: Vintage

Gloves: Kate Spade
Watch: Vintage Omega Seamaster (stolen from The Engineer)

Cardigan: Kate Spade
Blouse: Banana Republic
Belt: Thrifted
Skirt: Thrifted, it seems to be vintage, unsure
Shoes: Strassed Jimmy Choo Flats
Handbag: Kate Spade

I had several other adorable outfits that I just failed to remember to snap photographs. We have had really huge weather swings, and I’ve also been running at full speed. I picked up a little side job, and it’s kind of opened up some other options which I am super excited about! So, I’m really looking forward to 2013, it should be a good year.

Some of my recent projects:

Louboutin flats I’m working on:

And another pair of Nina Jellies. I didn’t paint these, just decided to Strass over the smoke grey jelly. I’m using Siam AB, by Preciosia. I’m really trying to use up the surplus of random crystals I have.

I’m excited about my outfit for tomorrow, I scored a gorgeous vintage 50’s dress yesterday, and I was able to remove the stains that I’m sure had been sitting for years!

Hope everyone has a safe and Happy Thanksgiving. Lots of feasting!

Until next time,

It’s been a crazy couple of weeks, and I just haven’t had the time to sit down and blog. Add in wonky weather and voila! One tired woman here.

I’m very thankful for the upcoming holiday, some time to sit back, catch up, and unwind.

I will be back blog world, and I have a couple of fabulous things to share!

Until next time,

My shoes have always reminded me of Tinkerbelle. The ball of crystals and pearls on the toe. Wrong color of course, but the general shape/style.

My outfit:(minus the trench coat and gloves I’ll throw on when we leave)

Cardigan: Kate Spade, off eBay
Pants: Banana Republic
Shoes: Kate Spade
Handbag(not pictured): Kate Spade

And it’s Friday! Lots of things on my agenda today. Hope yours is fab!

Until next time,

Thoughts, Links, & Sparkle

I just realized I didn’t post yesterday! I got caught up with a client of mine and spaced it! Add on my children having half schools days this week, and frankly, I feel a little crazy!

Oh, and the weather is changing! It’s cold, windy and rainy today! Two days ago I was complaining about how hot it was. Oops. Well, I’m not complaining about the icky weather, it is November, and I would prefer a proper winter of sorts! We might get a light dust of snow tomorrow night.

So, yesterday, what I wore:

Cardigan: Banana Republic, $10-range (I wear this often, I’m loving green right now)
Blouse: Ann Taylor, under $10
Pants: Banana Republic (the only pants I usually wear. I must find a backup!)
Shoes: Christian Louboutin flats
Handbag: Kate Spade Maryann

Sorry about the bad quality photos. I take 95% of my photos with my phone, and I realize the quality isn’t that great. But I also blog from my phone. *le sigh* I am really trending towards an iPad in the near future!

My project yesterday:

And then what I wore today:

Cardigan: Banana Republic
Blouse: Kohls
Skirt: Custom Hartley skirt by Sandee Royalty
Belt: Kate Spade
Shoes: Strassed Light Sapphire Christian Louboutins (I finished them!)
Handbag: Kate Spade

My finished shoes:

I adore sparkly shoes. I want a pair in every color! I know, I have a sparkly little problem. If you want your own pair, but are too scared to DIY? Go see Joey over at Redo My Shoe . He’s witty, talented, and I’m excited for the pair he’s working on for me!

One last thing. A friend of mine from bible study started a really neat blog, The Sociable Chef . She collects recipes from the 150+ ladies who bring food for our Thursday mornings. It’s a great resource for different new things to try! I gave her one of mine today, I’ll share it here:

Gluten-Free Egg Puff

15 large eggs (I use exlrg)
1c half & half
2c shredded cheese
One red bell pepper, diced

Mix all ingredients, making sure the eggs are scrambled well. Bake at 350 for 45-60 minutes, or until golden brown and puffy.

Enjoy! I know it’s difficult to find an egg casserole without bread or some type of thickener. With so many gluten allergies these days, it’s always important to make sure we have something at the buffet for those who need it!

Okay, and I love the above dish! In fact, I made the kiddos their own little puffs this morning. I may or may not have snatched bites from each one. *grins*

Have a safe and warm weekend, wherever you are! Those readers in the northeast, my heart goes out to you. Stay safe.

Until next time,
