Fashion, Food, Desserts, being a 30-something mom is exciting!

Archive for September, 2012

Whew, today things have calmed down a tad. That will change tomorrow, as the children go on fall break, and we are packing up for 10 days on “va-cay”, to use some beach slang (my version anyway!)

Today I pulled some different items out, in addition to recent standby items. I’ve just had alot of crazy life stuff lately, and I am SO unorganized clothing wise right now!

Cardigan: Kate Spade, off eBay
Blouse: Banana Republic Outlet (under $10)
Skirt: Escada, thrifted (under $5)
Shoes: Christian Louboutin
Handbag: Kate Spade Maryann

I’m really into yellows right now. And fall colors. It’s still 90+ degrees here though, so I’m really fooling myself with a cardigan!

Until next time,

Another Recap

Another crazy week for me! I have been remembering to snap outfit pictures though! I’ve been trying to explore new things, but I have been so swamped, I’ve taken to grabbing something close that is clean and looks halfway decent!

Sadly I didn’t get an outfit shot Sunday before I got ketchup on my pretty white shirt (oops!!), but I did wear my red sparkly flats all day. So, if you saw a girl at Disneyland this past Sunday with red sparkle flats & a red flowery skirt, that was me. And oh yeah, a red & white polka dot hat, and a spray bottle! It was SO hot. But we had a blast! I’ll be going again this coming Sunday, and several days next week. The children had a blast!

Monday, this is my “Disney-hangover” ensemble. (we were there from 8am-10pm)

Cardigan: Banana Republic Outlet
Dress: Ann Taylor (thrifted)
Shoes: Christian Louboutin kelly green flats (I love these!!! I am going to strass them at some point. I need to replace the soles though)
Handbag: Kate Spade

And then Tuesday, I had a meeting with a client, so I got dressed up! It was slightly cooler, so I was embracing fall a bit

Blouse: Banana Republic, thrifted $1
Belt: Thrifted, $1
Skirt: Kate Spade, off eBay
Shoes: Jimmy Choo
Handbag: Kate Spade

And then today. I had errands and a bit of work. I love this dress, and it was cool enough for a cardigan, so I went with it! I did end up wearing different shoes most of the day though, I feel I wear sparkle flats too much sometimes!

Cardigan: Kohls, on sale (I totally stalked this, it’s SO Kate Spade! But under $10!)
Dress: Anthropologie
Shoes: Strassed Jimmy Choo Flats
Handbag: Kate Spade

And voila! There you go. I apologize to my readers, I’ve had alot going on in my personal life the past few weeks, and blogging comes only if I have time after everything else. I am getting the hang of my new routine, and promise to work on being a better blogger!!

Have a wonderful week, I’m excited to share my outfit I planned for tomorrow!!

Until next time,

Once again, I’ve lapsed in my blogging! I’ve been super busy as of late, I picked up a small part-time job as a personal assistant, and have been spending weekends in Orange County.

And I’ve even awful about remembering to take photographs! Here’s a horrible one from Thursday:

Cardigan: Banana Republic Outlet (it’s green)
Blouse: Ann Taylor (navy with white dots)
Skirt: Vintage (also worn Wednesday)
Shoes: Navy Christian Louboutin Simple 100’s (I love these!! So comfortable)
Handbag: Kate Spade (it’s green, matches my cardigan)

I forgot to snap a shot yesterday, but this is pretty much what I wore:

*grins* Well, I had on clothing, but the shoes were all that mattered!

Today I had on several outfits (it’s hot and humid down here), but this is the last one I ended up with:

Hat: Target
Dress & Shoes: Courtesy of my friend Courtney (both from Target)
Handbag: Kate Spade

We took the kiddos to the pool, except I stayed OUT of the pool, only being prepared in case someone needed a rescue! I do wish I’d snapped pictures of my other outfits, they were super cute!

And tomorrow we are headed to Disneyland! I’ll try to remember pictures. I never did post pictures last May.

Hope your weekend is super awesome.

Until next time,

Seeing Pink!

Two days in a row, I’m rocking pink!

Cardigan: Ross, under $10 (or maybe TJMaxx?)
Dress: Ann Taylor, thrifted (also worn this past weekend)
Shoes: Jimmy Choo Strassed Flats
Handbag: Kate Spade

And then today:

Cardigan: same as yesterday (and it was really only on this morning)
Top: White T-shirt from Target
Skirt: Vintage, thrifted for $1 (yesterday!!)
Shoes: Jimmy Choo Strassed Flats
Handbag: (not pictured) Kate Spade from above

I’m loving pink right now! I finally got my flats off to Joey over at ReDo My Shoe, I’m so excited to have hot pink crystal flats later this year (or early next year). They would have been perfect today though!!

I need to get cracking on my current strass projects. I have 3 pairs I’m working on. Hmmmmmm. So much sparkle, so little time!

Until next time,

Weekend Recap

So, I think for now I will skip blogging on the weekends, and instead do a weekend recap on Monday mornings.

If you follow my Instagram, you already know I was in Orange County this past weekend. Let me say, it was hot!!!! Crazy hot!

Saturday we ran around, went to the beach, did our best to wear the kids out.

I just had on a $3 sundress from Target, frankly something I would not normally wear! So I took a shadow snap.

And this, sand toes!

And then yesterday we went to South Coast Plaza, and I saw these:

Animal-print Elisa 100’s. Soooo gorgeous. I didn’t buy them, but I soooo wanted to!!!

But I did find this dress, $4.50 at Goodwill somewhere down there:

It’s Ann Taylor, and my sandals are Kate Spade.

And then today, I am headed to work:

Cardigan: Banana Republic
Top: Target
Skirt: Gap, $2.75 @ Goodwill
Shoes: Green Christian Louboutin flats
Handbag: Kate Spade

And my bag & shoes:

Whew! Anyway, have a wonderful week!

Until next time,

It’s Friday!

Once again, I’m a bad blogger! A few days worth of outfits:

Cardigan: Kate Spade
Blouse: Banana Republic
Belt: Old Navy
Skirt: JCrew
Shoes: Strassed Jimmy Choo Flats
Handbag: Yellow Kate Spade Maryann (not pictured)

Top: Target
Skirt: Kate Spade

Handbag: Black Kate Spade (not pictured)

And then today, yes, a full shot! In visiting a dear friend of mine and just couldn’t resist the background. And it seemed super wrong to cut my head off! (plus my hair looks halfway decent, I had it done recently)

Dress: Anthropologie, $20 (on sale!!)
Shoes: Strassed Jimmy Choo Flats
Handbag: Yellow Kate Spade Maryann (not pictured)

This weekend I am sure my Instagram will be fun! I’m spending the weekend down by the beach, just a little getaway!

Have a wonderful weekend!

Until next time,
