I have deliveries today! So fun.

Blouse: Banana Republic (on sale, $9.98)
Skirt: Kenneth Cole
Slip showing: Vintage
Belt: Thrifted
Shoes: Jimmy Choo
Handbag: Kate Spade

And after my cakes get delivered, we are headed to the beach! My husband has to work today (not normal!!!!), and so I figured I’d do something fun with the kids.

My batman cake

I also did 4 dozen cupcakes for a birthday, and a graduation cake that I have to finish assembling.

Yay! And I am done until August now. I love what I do, but time off is also important.

Until next time,

What I’m Wearing

I’m so an outfit repeater today!! (and not pictured but I have a bright pink apron on too now!) I just had to run out this morning and buy a replacement cup. Those plastic Starbucks cups are breakable!! Oops!

The Rundown:
Top: Kate Spade, off eBay
Skirt: no-name, from a friend
Shoes: Strassed Jimny Choo flats
Handbag: Kate Spade Maryann
Belt: thrifted by my sister (I kinda stole this from her!)

And back to baking I go. Virtual cupcake anyone???

Oh yes! How I wrapped a wedding present for a recent bride. Isn’t is cute?

You can follow me on Instagram, KateSpadeGirlBlog (I believe?). I’m trying to remember to post pictures!

Until next time,

What I’m Wearing

So, I had sold this dress in my blog sale. But then she changed her mind. Soooooo, I decided to give it another go today. (it’s been hanging on my closet door for weeks!) it’s a little big, so I have on a black camisole underneath. I actually am pleased with it!

The Rundown:
Dress: Kate Spade
Shoes: Christian Louboutin (the black ones I had painted. I refinished these myself last night. I can get a few more wears before replacing the heel taps)
Handbag: Kate Spade

Another shot of the shoes. I’m rather proud of myself for the refinish job I did on the leather! I am sad they aren’t green with the beginnings of a strass project though!!!!

Now I need to pare down my shoes. No one needs 6 pairs of black heels.

Maybe another blog sale. Maybe my ban needs to just be “no buying anything” instead of “no buying, selling, etc” for a month.

Sigh. I have a shoe problem. I know.

Until next time,

Another Giveaway in the works!!

So, being as I’ve gotten over 2,000 hits (OH MY GOODNESS!!!), and I currently have 36 followers, why not have another giveaway?

I’ll post the rules here, and I will post the actual giveaway details on July 1st.

1. MUST be a follower of this blog.

2. This giveaway will be open to the entire world. Well, anywhere that USPS offers mail delivery that is. (although, I cannot guarantee delivery for those outside of the US…but I ship/receive alot of mail, and rarely do I lose packages)

3. This giveaway will be sponsored by me, and only me. I did not receive anything from any company or a freebie, etc in exchange for advertising. (nor have I ever)

4. Must Love Sparkles.

Okay, I believe thats it. Keep an eye out. I’ve had this in the works for a while, thought it would be fun. I just needed to get a little less busy in my business to be able to address it, and to do it properly!! I’m excited!

Off to finish making a movie camera out of sugar. Seriously? I have the coolest work ever! And I played with shoes today too.

Oh yes, on a very very sad note. Those lovely Louboutins that I painted yesterday? With the intention of strassing? They hate me. They want to be black without paint & crystals. The paint ALL peeled off. And my attempts to strip the leather finish to repaint? NOPE. These suckers want to be black. Le Sigh. SO, black they shall stay. I’m going to have the heel tips replaced and the black leather refinished. I might have to ship them off, my cobbler up here wasn’t too keen on messing with them. But he said to bring them back tomorrow, the owner would be there, and the owner MIGHT be able to handle it. (they need some light touch up, heel tips, etc)

And in other news, I have decided to put myself on a ban. No acquisitions for the next month. (eeks!!) which means, no strassing, as I don’t have a pair of Christian Louboutins to strass! (unless I decide to bite the bullet and strass those navy simples I got a couple of weeks ago *bites nails*) Well, starting July  1st. So, let’s see what I can come up with between now and then!! Wish me luck!! I’m trying to streamline in anticipation of a trip I have coming up in the fall, with the hopes of picking up something fabulous while in a big city.

Until next time,

What I’m Wearing

I’m sitting in a nice warm sauna as I post this! 🙂 (my weekly trip to the chiropractor, well, more like bi-weekly)

The Rundown:
Blouse: Banana Republic, $14.98 on sale
Skirt: Ann Taylor, off eBay
Shoes: Strassed Jimmy Choo Flats
Handbag: Yellow Kate Spade Maryann bag (not pictured, carried this yesterday)

Mmmmm. Back to enjoying my 120 degree sauna!

Until next time,

What I’m Wearing

Today I am being a wee bit of a bum. Working on some show projects:

And not wearing shoes myself!

The Rundown:
Blouse: Kate Spade
Skirt: H&M

And yeah, that’s it! I have been working as well. Lots of emails and stuff to catch up on.

Until next time,

Project time!!!

Le sigh.

These just arrived.

My plan? Was to paint green (a shimmery of course!), and strass with green tourmaline and green tourmaline AB Preciosia crystals.

I love them black too!!!

However, the heels are fairly trashed and the leather is well broken in. Which is why I picked them! My navy Simple 100’s are too perfect to strass over!! And I have a lovely pair of black semi pointed toe heels. Two pairs actually!!

The red sole against the black. It’s stunning!! I’m in love!

And I know once I get them done I will love them. I’m just being fussy.

But goodness I am so so so so so so so temped to keep them black.

They are Décolleté in black jazz. The fit, it’s divine!!!

I tried on the Pigalle 120 last Thursday. That shoe is hot hot hot. It was actually quite comfortable. But then again, I have been known to wear 4″ heels to Kindergarten.

Your thoughts on these? And no, strassing the other two pairs of black heels are not an option. One is a Mary Jane style (Jimmy Choo, love them!!) and the other is a d’orsay style with a small now and other details. I also have my black Miu Miu sequin heels.

I do not need these in black!

But I so want them.

It’s okay, laugh at me. I am laughing at myself!

Until next time,
