What I’m Wearing

I’m really enjoying having these flats in a cream/bone color! Perfect for summer! Of course now I have realized I need a bone handbag! (of course!!)

The Rundown:
Cardigan: Old Navy
Dress: Alannah Hill
Shoes: Jimmy Choo
Handbag: Kate Spade

I will work on posting pictures of my recent finished shoe project later! I finally found the perfect embellishment for the shoes I painted! Now I just need to finish painting the soles (I’m glittering them as well. Why not??)

And then to find the perfect pair of flats to strass. I’m thinking I will probably do them with the Siam and Siam AB, I love that color. It’s really quite wearable as it flashes from red to blue to purple. Although I was looking at the Jet AB crystals, and those are really stunning too.

I have some time, I probably won’t get a chance to strass again until July. At least I’ve got it down to a science, my Christian Louboutins I did this weekend (with all those tiny tiny edge crystals!!!!) only took about 17-18 hours. I get in the “zone” and just go for it!

Until next time,

What I’m Wearing

I actually threw this on last might to go to a school thing (sans cardigan, it was HOT last night!!!), and well, I liked it enough to wear it all day today!

The Rundown:
Cardigan: Old Navy (have this is 3 colors)
Dress: Nanette Lepore, off eBay
Shoes: Jimmy Choo flats, off eBay ($30!)
Brooch(on dress): Vintage
Necklace: Kohls (major sale!! Under $10)
Handbag: Bally, swapped for this

And it’s another crazy day! The last 7-8 days of school, it’s insane. Especially when you have 4 in essentially 4 different schools! And trying to keep my oldest on track for finals next week is next to impossible with the younger 3 having a 8-day long party going on! (well, 4 days for one, as she gets out before the boys)

Don’t forget my blog sale. Make me offers.

Until next time,

What I’m Wearing

I decided to wear a state today!!!

The Rundown:
Cardigan: Old Navy
Blouse: Nanette Lepore
Skirt: Basil & Maude Florida Skirt
Handbag: Kate Spade
Jewelery: Aquamarines
Shoes: Christian Louboutin hand-strassed heels, and Jimmy Choo flats.

I’m not going to wear my Christian Louboutin’s today, I have to take them in for heel tips this morning. But later? Probably!! Although I might end up selling these, I don’t know if I can put enough “fillers” in to make them fit!!!

So, I’m wearing my boring flats this morning, as we have a plethora of errands to run!

And Kindergarten awards are today!! Yay!

Until next time,

Another Strass Project

Red soled shoes. Why oh why are these the holy grail of shoes? They aren’t very comfortable (I love my Jimmy Choo heels!!), but there is just something about that red sole!!

Anyway, I came across these, totally trashed in need of a redo.

Pale Pink Satin Tamiflu d’orsay style heels with a small band of pink crystal strass.

I then took the strass off and painted them this lovely metallic blue

And then an assortment of Preciosa crystals. Lt Sapphire & Lt Sapphire AB. SS7, SS12, SS16, and SS20.

One shoe down

Determined to finish both shoes yesterday

And by 12:45am, I had finished!

I’m going to take and have zip soles and heel tips put on this morning. I have an event this evening, I do believe I’m going to wear these! Come on glue, dry dry dry!!!!

Busy day. I received a blogger award/tag I must respond to (and then pass on!), and get started for what is a short week! And be room mom at Kindergarten, as it’s the last 8 days of school. Think all those little girls would love my shoes???

Until next time,

Memorial Day

In honor of those who have bravely fought, risked their lives and lost their lives, thank you. To my husband who put in 10 years, thank you.

Our country is still free today because of all those men & women out there.

In remembrance,

Louis Vuitton Cake

I meant to share this yesterday, but due to some issues, it didn’t happen. I ended up instead unwinding with a new strass project last night!! (SO excited about this one!!!)

So, this is very picture heavy. Everything is molded or cast from sugar, the shoe is modeled as a sz 38.5, and I hand painted everything. (sadly the person who ordered it didn’t agree with me on it being fabulous.)

I suppose art is subjective and so not everyone will like it. But I personally think the sugar shoe is wicked cool. But then again, I love shoes!

Probably no outfit shots today, it’s a “stay home and be a bum” kind of day. I’ll probably plant flowers and strass.

New flowers for my front flower beds!

And a sneak peek at my new project

Very laid back Memorial Day weekend here! And to those whom I owe an email, I will get back to you, promise!! 🙂

Until next time,
